No, we did not buy this insane property, we just wanted to show you guys how awesome it is! One of my favorite parts of this place is the insanely unique design and finishes put together by Bond Design Company
Instagram: / bonddesigncompany
Here are some of the details about this place:
Listing Price: $25,900,000
6 Bedrooms, 6.5 Baths
12,377 sq ft interior space / (1150 sqm)
49.11 acre lot / (198741 sqm)
Perfectly situated on the edge of national forest land, this modern mountain estate offers the rare opportunity to live off the grid in ultimate luxury. No expense was spared in the 4 year build of this incredible cabin. With nearly fifty acres, including four additional building lots with separate Tax IDs, this property provides the ideal opportunity to create your own family compound or sell off some of the lots.
The home was thoughtfully designed to seamlessly blend the original cabin with a massive addition that was completed in 2022 by Magleby Construction. The inspired design is complimented by state-of-the-art components including a Savant smart-home technology system, power supplied by an extensive 41 kilowatt solar array (including a commercial backup generator), nearly 300 kilowatt hours of battery backup, six 1,000-gallon propane tanks, and an extensive commercial water filtration system that produces some of the most exceptional water you will ever taste with over 1,000 gallons of water storage.

Is it weird that I found the engineering part of the house more impressive than the house itself. Some of the most unappreciated parts of homes is the artistry in keeping it functional.

Agreed. The great entrance and central part were absolutely amazing too…but everything else, like the small closets and the flow of the kitchen, were meh 🫤. Hey, it might be just a woman point of view! The view out the windows definitely added value, but not astounding enough for $26mil.

It’s not the purchase price but the upkeep. For a house like that you have a small army there daily, cleaning, cooking, painting, scrubbing decks, pressure washing the pavers. Maybe an investment portfolio of 300 million and you could sustain that life style. With that many people to make it interesting as your guests- there’s food and drink! And I’ll bet they are not eating Costco! Such a double door is named a farmhouse door, but often also called a Dutch door. Fifty years ago our family had two in our old cottage in Holland and a few years ago I got one built for my own cabin. It is so named because it allows the fresh air in, but keeps the chickens out. :) And typically the whole door can be open, or only the top half, or the top just a little bit.

Only in my dreams that I could ever own something like that. So beautiful and stunning, words don't even explain the shear awesomeness of that property, my mouth was on the floor the whole time, good tour D. I am surprised that it is even being sold, of course there are tons of reasons why someone would but if it was mine, I would find any and every way possible to keep the dream family refuge in the family.

Usually i hate mansions because 99.9% of people do not need 200 rooms and all that space. But this mansion is actually the best mansions i have ever seen. I wonder why someone is selling it.

This house is so freakin awesome. The only thing I would do, is on that big lawn area I would excavate and build an underground shooting range (and maybe connect it with that underground tunnel and safe room/ gun vault). You guys should do more house tours. You're better than the realtors and house tour people.

Except falling into the pool with clothing and boots on not a good look. Probably have to chlorinate it and wait till it's clear and free of dirt and germs. Also sitting in the pristine bath with boots on is a no no. Gorgeous place.
