If those HVAC systems had electric motors on them aswell they'd probably make excellent shop Aircon systems. Park it up, plug it in. Run a pipe straight into the shop splitting it into a few different pipes and you'd have Aircon split into different parts of your shop. Must be a cheaper way to install shop Aircon & heating

Dave said he was waiting on 3 phase power (from a generator) to test the HVAC units, so that means they already have an electric motor. A 3 phase motor. But since he needs a generator to supply that kind of power, it doesn't look like Dave's shop has 3 phase power (from the pole) wired in. Whoever ends up owning them will need 3 phase power available in order to use them.

This is crazy for me to see all these military trailers here, because I work at the company that made a lot of them. Especially the first tan ones they loaded at 3:34. We've made so many trailers like this that just end up in a warehouse somewhere for YEARS, then just get sold as surplus, yet these things are heavy duty aluminum tube framed trailers with a hydraulic shock. its honestly funny how often we get calls from some random guy who bought one of our trailers from a surplus sale/auction and are asking for some technical support while they gut it to use in some project.

That dry-prime pump: those are used a lot for construction site dewatering. Drive lots of wellpoints at the site, piping manifold system to tie all the wellpoints. Pump should have a vane type vacuum pump to keep neg pressure in those suction lines/well points. Anywhere the water table is high those pump systems are used.

Once the deal was struck, I would have put one of the crew up there in a travel trailer or motor home to keep an eye on things. I too would hate to leave and worry some rando comes on the property or the seller decides just to "grab a few things" after he realizes he sold too low.

This video is quite insightful on how Dave's business works and how extensive it has become. You often see the shop, the hangar, the area around the shop, and the vehicles, like snapshots of the whole operation. I wondered where all the stuff from recoveries went or if it has already been sold. Now I know. 😅 I hope a lot of the machines and vehicles find buyers and will be used again in the foreseeable future. In my opinion, rebuilding and repairing such equipment is an important part of sustainability. This might turn into one of the most interesting video series for me personally.

With all the “will it run” videos, you guys should make a fuel module that can hold about 5 gallons of diesel that has a fuel pump and filter system? Maybe a return line with filter to keep trash from returning fuel? Plus a “power pack module with two large fully charged batteries “!! Make them “plug and play “, I think that you would get a lot of use out of it.

My Dad was a master diesel mechanic for 43 years and could work on anything diesel os gas. One of his #1 rules was not to try to run anything diesel that had sat without being started for 6 months or more before flushing out all the old fuel from the tanks, lines, wherever. You guys just acquired enough stuff to keep you all busy for quite a while! Have fun and stay happy as always ❤️🙏

What makes it all even cooler, is that it's all military I think. Just from being military, a lot of buyers will pay more money for that. There's a lot of military collectors out there. But having D knows how to do it right! You don't sit on this stuff and wait to find out if you can get more money, you get rid of it as fast as you can to make a profit so that way you can make more of a turnover. Why sit on something for a year that might sell for $20,000, when you could sell it the next day for six or $7000, and do it multiple times. That's the smart thing to do. I'm a new subscriber, and i gotta say watching you guys is kind of soothing for some reason. 🙂

Dave! Dave! I watch these episodes in complete joy, sometimes I worry about the safety and how they do things, I suggest Dave gets a motor home set up to be used at sites for security whilst doing stuff like this but also as a mobile first aid station, especially when working remote, giving the guys a fall back station which would also be used for lunch room and sleeping and of course toilets. At least it would be somewhere with all the emergency stuff that may be needed, You deal with high-pressure oil and I have seen what happens when oil leaks out or hydraulic lines go. A friend lost his hand when a line burst and the oil jet was like a laser cutter Fortunately a hospital (and a Helicopter) were close by. A big-arse RV setup would be a great addition to the team.

crane outriggers have specialized valves in the cylinder. they require pressure to a pilot port to allow them to raise. this is done to prevent loss of support in the event of a line failure
