Your chateau is going to so beautiful as you renovate. Showing the plumbing shows just how much work it takes to get bathrooms put in a really old building. Most people don’t understand how much work it is and the cost. Lots of wonderful fire wood? Love your creation of the table and stumps for seats. Well done and have fun in your new adventures. 🇨🇦

The park looks great. I love the little picnic benches, although they look a little low. In Tasmania, we rely on wood heating a lot and you see "walls" of wood surrounding the fencing of most rural properties. It often looks like a competition! Who can get the most walls of wood! There is just so much to do in a chateau, but you will keep chipping away and in time, look back and be totally amazed at how far you have come.

This is a fantastic video because it shows wannabe chateau owners the actual nitty gritty of buying an old building. Create your compost bins (three) in the back corner where the garden meets the farm house. It would be nicely tucked in there. Get yourself a tree shredder and create mulch with the limbs. That would do well for your raised beds.

Presumably that field down towards the roundabout is managed by a farmer? He might have a log splitter and/or big table saw. Good luck with the chateau. Looks like fun!

Use the nettles to make a natural fertiliser, they can be particularly good for all kinds of plants, get one of the 120ltr food grade blue barrels, smash the nettles into it, fill with water and put the lid on, in a few months you'll have a really stinky, but fab general purpose liquid feed, the older this swamp water gets, and more concentrated the better.
