My first ride in this world was in a 67 C20 that my dad had bought brand new in Kalamazoo, Michigan he was working for a company that assembled GMC/Chevrolet seat belt latches, so there's a strong possibility that the seat belt latches in y'all truck was assembled by my dad.

I wish my 68 was that clean, I've had mine for 35 years or so, but it's been threw, 4 motors, 5 transmissions, 1 cab, 3 rear-ends exe... i'm on the 5th moter now , and a input shaft in the 4-speed transmission. Thanks for the show - video... That's what I get for being such a hotrod! Its this dang left foot of mine.

Dang boys, that's a quite a diamond. That interior color's crazy. I bet the tar preserved the seat. With some good steam cleaning, I bet it would probably clean up nice. I'd definitely just clean the old girl up and let her roll again.

She is a beauty. I’d make minimum changes to her if she was mine. Anything chrome would get shiny and new tires. Touch up the things that should shine and reupholster the seat and dash. You can’t beat the look of her. Great find. I had a 72 C10 but let it go for a Camaro. Stupid move as an 18 year old. My buddy’s Dad had a 69 short bed that looked old and plain like this one. He pulled the cardboard box out of the glovebox and manufactured metal box for it. He moved the ductwork around and was able to get more room in there. They are the best trucks Chevy ever put out. Ford and Dodge had good ones too. These C10’s are forefathers of the trucks riding around today. They ushered in the design of the future of trucks. Beautiful.

I just got done watching your video and I absolutely love this truck and the story. I love that you guys named it Leroy lol and that you’re gonna keep the truck in the same condition. I actually just bought a 71 C10 stepside long bed this past Saturday. It’s gonna be a fun project. I’ve already started working on it. I actually just stumbled across your channel tonight searching C10 videos, so I will definitely be subscribing to your channel. 👊 Love the new tow rig!

Very cool truck! Great condition... I'd ditch those mirrors and put the little mirrors back and just leave the holes...would look better and the holes just add to the story. I bet whoever ordered that interior at the dealership got fired...had to be a mistake but probably makes it a one of one! 70 was the last year for 6 lug drum brakes, 6 lugs date back to the thirtys. 71 was first year for discs on 10's, 20's, and 30's and would come with a disc brake emblem on the tailgate. I had 72 2wd blazer the ocher color and a 70 short bed that was originally the light metallic green. Would never imagine the two combined on the same truck! Great find, congrats!

What a beautiful truck fellas For sure!!! I am definitely a really really big fan of the 1967-1972 Chevy and blazers witch the blazers started in 1969 and up!!! I have always had a 1967-1972 Chevy pickup since my freshman year in high school!!! I actually still have one from my high school years and it’s got a really unique factory color paint on it!!! I was actually going to have it painted a different color but after doing some research of the blueish color it came out in very few trucks!! When I got it I thought someone had painted it but it was a really rare color option and I had never seen a truck in this color before after have over 30 different trucks in this years category!!! Mine is a 1969 Chevy K30 4x4 with a 421 I built and I am running the good old three speed manual transmission with granny low!! I’m pretty sure I will own this truck until I die unless someone comes up with the Wright price!!! Lol!! I also am a big fan of the square body trucks also and right after I graduated back in 1999 I had a really nice 1982 GMC K20 that I had bought and built a 355 sbc for it and man that truck would run hard down the interstate when I drove it to DMACC to take mechanic classes!! The truck was definitely rust free and it was a two tone red and white in color!! But back in the late 90s I was headed home from working at a machine shop and an older gentleman with a horse trailer pulled out in front of me and as I was giving him the good old bird and slowing down there was a kid that was in high school going to a high school game ended up just following the old man and I ended up T boning him and he didn’t end up making!! When I hit him I wasn’t even at 25 mph!! The cops took my license and after the medical had checked me out witch absolutely nothing happened to me other than my new ended up hitting the dash and basically just scuffed my new!! The officer came back to me to give me my license back and said he had got a statement from the lady that was Wright behind him and said that it wasn’t my fault and that the kid just happened to follow the truck that was in front of him!!! Up until now I will definitely not wear my seatbelt in honors of that kid!!! Awesome video and I definitely can’t weight to see what all you end up doing to it!!! I do have a bunch of parts from collecting over the past 25 to 30 years and if you are looking for something let me no??

LS?! No! 😵 Do a nifty little 327 SBC and leave the 3-on-the-tree. Y'all just went on and on about how original it is and then tell us how you're going to change a lot of that with an auto, disk brakes, lowering, gas tank relocation, and heaven-forbid, an LS. How 'bout you just clean and fix everything up exactly as-is and roll with it like that for awhile. If you can't handle that after a year or so, then do all the mods you've mentioned. With the many other fancy, LS'd trucks you two have, I bet you'll find you enjoy this one in 100% original form.
@milfordbrothers8 ай бұрын
Thanks for the comment, those are some good ideas. We’re not 100% sure on what’s exactly gonna be done to the truck yet, we may end up doing things a little different than what we said.
@SaneCayne8 ай бұрын
@@milfordbrothers One last thing to consider and then I'll shut up: it's most likely just gonna be a weekend fun truck/cruise-in truck. Not a daily, and not something you'll drive on the highway for hours and hours. So there's no need for it to stop on a dime, or be real fast, or be super-safe. You guys and everyone that will see it at the local cruise-in (or if you tow it to SETN or the C10 nats), will appreciate it for its originality. Adding modern power plant and other touches like that will definitely take the shine off its original "purity".
