Hey - *before* you gobble up that McChicken with the quarters you found, check them against a coin dealer's price guide. Example: a 1999 silver proof CT quarter can be worth up to $50. Cheers....
@fayemurphy44359 ай бұрын
Those quarters maybe worth lots of money. You need to check dates and coin values.
@jhood7589 ай бұрын
They’re probably not worth more than a quarter each now considering they’ve been in mud, under water for no telling how long. Just another quarter now

@@jhood758Uh, no. ANY quarter with silver content, even beat up, still has of worth of about $6. All silver coins are worth at least their silver content (usually around 90%). Cheers....

So if you find tools (or other objects you want to save from rust), I'm gonna give you a tip to save them even if they're COVERED in rust. Get the Lysol toilet bowl cleaner with RUST removal (It's a black and white label). One 5 gallon bucket per bottle and dump the whole bottle in there with a full bucket of water and add what you want that's covered in rust. In one day you will literally be able to lightly rinse or brush ALL the rust off. I saw this recently in a short and used it myself and freed up a pair of pliers that I had forgotten in the yard over a year ago and there was zero fuss into cleaning it, I threw them in there and pulled them out a day later and completely saved them. There's other rust removers out there but they can get pretty pricey.
@izoraiza71699 ай бұрын
I did something similar with a rust remover my dad had bought for a toy Tonka truck to get a little bit of rust off so my dad could sell it or give it to some kid. It was found in the yard of my house when we moved in. The rust wasn't good for a kid and it was a small amount of rust like you'd get when leaving a toy outside for a little bit as a kid playing with them.

I just used vinegar on a tool that was rusted up and it looks brand new. 🤷🏻♀️

You really should check the dates on those quarters. Some of them could be worth a lot more than $6.50. Enjoyed the video. Keep on cleaning up our waterways. You're doing a great job of it. Thank you so much for caring.

Note for anyone reading this if you find an animal crossing the road like a turtle always take them in the direction they are going so they don't try to cross the road again to get where they were going. Also if you magnet fish and have a claw for it don't leave it on the ground because it can go through a shoe into a foot if accidentally landed on. If you trip and land on the claw it can end up worse. Put it in a bucket when not using like they do in the video.

Don’t spend those quarters I will cook two delicious hamburgers and you can give them to me. Collectors could be worth more, here is just one write up of same collectors quarters, shows same bag. According to the U.S. Coins Guide, the Georgia quarters from 1999 - part of the long-running state quarters series - have several misprinted and “stained” spots on them, which makes the quarters a hot commodity for collectors. This 1999 Georgia quarter is worth $10,000 I really enjoy your videos, you are doing a great service for the environment, but stop taking to the dump, tools etc. that you could sell for much more than the value of the scrap. The money you are throwing away as scrap, is better in your pocket. Great job for Emma and you, to look these items up. People would gladly buy used tools in good shape, especially nowadays when struggling financially
