Glad I ran into this video. Will be leaving soon for our week long trip up into Ontario Canada. Have not been up there on vacation in 15 years since we ended up with 3 dogs and kennel fees got sky high (still went on daily trips because our spot is only 64 miles from home). Well unfortunatly all our dogs have passed on ( having lived wonderfuls lives) and my girl and I have a little freedom. First thing I said to her was "plan your vacation for the usual week in August because you know where we are going". Can't wait to start tossing those giant gills into the cooler 😀

Your video not only showcases your passion for fishing but also provides valuable insights into summertime cricket fishing techniques. By sharing this experience, you've not only entertained but also educated your audience about the joys of fishing during the summer season. Your dedication to capturing these moments in nature is truly commendable. And I am Floating Village Life.

wasp larvae are great bait for bream. Dawn and water will kill the wasps, then carefully open the larvae and get the white worms out. Careful some of them may be ready to come out.

Nice catch guys👍my favorite type of fishing for bluegills!! I personally like the seven to eight inch fish to eat I release the big ones to spawn and keep that gene pool. My son and I like the whole fry’s, but I fillet most of them👍

I'm headed out to slay some bluegill in about 5 hrs. Been wearing out some major fish with these Zman Micro finesse baits. Believe the hype!!! They are really awesome!!!!! I've caught everything on them. Also been using scent on the baits to keep the bite going. Fixing to be fish fry time soon

You were talking bout your live well being hot water. Take an empty 2 liter bottle,fill with water or you can use 3 or four regular bottles an freeze them and put them in your live well so the fish won’t boil. They also have some fluid you can use to help keep them alive. ADub on KZbin uses it when he fishes tournaments. But try these bottles the really work great.

Here in Indiana, the Bluegill spawn in the Spring of the Year. I assume that’s the same in Arkansas. It seems like you and Jay are always fishing for spawning fish, is that just because you fish in different locations?
@COLE_and_JAY4 ай бұрын
Bluegill will spawn many times throughout the summer. We just rotate around to different lakes that are at different water temps and at different stages of the spawn

Hey Cole and Jay, I told a couple how much I loved whole fried fish and 1said not a fan and the other said the skin got rubbery. Now if you dip it in hot oil my experience is that the skin bubbles up and gets crispy. Do you agree? Happy 4th of July 🎉🎊🎈💥🇺🇲 JO JO IN VT 💞

Good fish, but not keepers to me. I like em bigger. I keep saying it, but slip corks are so much better with #8 long shank cricket hooks. To each their own, though. I turn my livescope to perspective mode and look for beds. You can see if they are active or not, by seeing the fish in the beds from a distance.

East Texas got those coppernose bluegill genes.
@textig0614 ай бұрын
But they are not the only large growth bluegill here even the Redear grow large at least on Cherokee Lake. But we did lose the larger Crappie that was there in the 70's due to an ick fungus. Lake Fork, Lake Bob Sandlin, Caddo, Big Cypress Bayou, Lake of The Pines, have huge bluegill that are not Copper nose.
