We Found an INCREDIBLE AMETHYST LIMB CAST!! Our Best Find EVER!! | Rockhounding in Nova Scotia

In this video, all three boys and I go rockhounding for the first time in 2022 and it happened to be on January 1st. We found an incredible Amethyst filled limb cast that most certainly will end up being our find of the year (not sure we can top it) and is right up there with one of the best finds we or I have ever found! WOW.....just WOW!!!!! The details in that piece are mind blowing!!! Those are the pieces that dreams are made of! I was so excited when you showed it that I gasped aloud and my 8yr old daughter came running from the other room. She took one look and literally squealed!!! We were both relieved when you said that you were going to leave it in its original state. Such beautiful weather and a great day to be out with the boys! The amethyst was incredible! The banding on both ends of that limb cast almost looked like crazy lace agate. That was definitely the find of that trip! I have high hopes for your hunts this year!!

WOW, "Jesus in a rock!" is right! That is the best rock I've ever seen ever, love it. I really liked how you explained the geology here, very helpful for me, love the history here and trees. Good choice going to Ross Creek as it doesn't get picked over much as you say. And looks like you guys had it all to yourself! I like how you explain the geology of the areas you hunt and the things you find. I've never heard of cycads until I've seen your videos. Could you explain what they are a little better, perhaps? They are petrified wood, conifers? Omg! That is one of the coolest finds I've ever seen! I was going to say you should leave it as is, but then you already said you were going to. Hi Jason, that was a great days hunting with Nolan,Chase & Travis, these trips will be stay in their memories for life. What a striking location for some rockhounding and some awesome finds. If you head across the river it's a longer walk but you can find nodules and geodes there as well as cycads
