@@cakeswithfaces We have booked for five weeks in Tokyo : ) we were a little nervous at the idea of travelling out and around so we've opted to stay in a few different places in tokyo whilst doing daytrips! Just saw your video on Chofu and will definitely go there for the afternoon while we are there!

When I was there in March, they were running a Coco Curry spoon promo so you could win a Coco Curry spoon in a raffle if you ordered the Grandmother Curry. Now it's the only spoon I use for my curries :p

That was the first Coco location we ever ate at. It is what started it all for us. We don't recommend the fried whale half way down the arcade. Texture and flavor of over cooked liver with a hint of fish.

Have not been to Coco curry this year in my 3 month visit of Japan. But in 2 years maximum I will plan to go to Japan again. I am sure I will visit Coco again :) The only place I did ate at when I think of it with a similar name was "Coco's Al Plaza" in Kameoka no idea if they are from the same company. But they did not had curry as far as I can remember. Love your videos Amy :)

If I remember rightly I ordered spice level 15 max last year, the guy taking the order looked shocked as he repeated It back. 🤣 I'm back next week so I will be ordering the same, with chips as a side to mop up all of the hot gravy. 😋 Every time I visit Japan I squeeze In a couple meals at CI, never had any merch from there though, hopefully I will get some.

The max used to be level 10, so i was surprised to see on the menu it goes up to 20 now! The max I've had is a level 4 so far! How was the 15?

You're a brave soul! Though I've found that most Japanese food that's labeled as "hot" (spicy) really isn't. So maybe 15 would tickle the tongue, lol.

I've never been to a Coco Curry! I'm usually quite content to get my curry fix from a conbini! Maybe next year I'll change my mind and try a meal from Coco Curry.

I'll never forget the sensation of walking by a curry place (might not have been CoCo) when I went to Japan and it was a punch in the face of that amazing curry smell, so hard to walk by and not get some!

I like the cat mascots and will keep an eye open for them when I travel to Japan next February. I love curries, but the Thai versions. I can eat a Japanese curry, but if there is any choice, I will always prefer to have a ramen, sushi, soba, udon, tempura etc. etc. instead of a Japanese curry. The only "curry item" that I truly enjoy in Japan, is currypan from 7/11. Not a healty snack, but a very tasty one. Thanks Amy for another good video ! I was in Nagasaki last year, and very much enjoyed the city. For dinner, we went to Chinatown, and had good, cheap and authentic chinese food (there are also a lot of vegetarian choices) there.

Good to know there are veggie options in Chinatown, thank you! Curry comes in so many different varieties - they're all delicious in their own way! Hoping I can find a veggie curry pan one day so I can try it! They actually have them at Coco Curry in London now, but I didn't have room for one as well as my meal!

05:54 That's funny, it's rice shaped like a two-layer cake. I like trying the promo curry at Coco's. The grandma sounds a little tame, but some of the other promos I've tried are so good. Coco's is the best kind of comfort food :) I always add eggplant and spinach to mine if the dish doesn't already include them.

I think Aggretsuko's been way more popular overseas than in Japan - you don't see much of them lately! The cap's a collab with Tokidoki (my fav designer!).
