Finally looking real hard at the Elizabeth, just watch vedio on checking PID Temp on Elizabeth, looked like what was on machine and portifilter temp probe test were real close and for home users I think the Elizabeth is the way to go and for me it fits my counter space bester than lets say the Breville DB. Hi, thnaks for your honest communication. I just replaced the probe on my unit and was surprised by two stacked washers, jammed unterneath the probe. Have you ever witnessed that as well? BTW now I unleahed diabolic and nearly endless steam-power! It took like 3 years ... thank you!

I found two washers as well. Were they stacked on top of each other (under the bottom thermostat)? Or one under each thermostat?

Thanks for a very clear and informative video. I have the same model machine and now the power button appears faulty - it will now only stay on if the button is kept pressed in by hand. I have taken the top cover off and checked that the button and connectors are firmly in place. The parts diagram shows it's part number is 9600052. Any ideas or information on this fault would be appreciated. Also, do you know where I could order the part number from (I am in Australia)?

Kind of sad, i've own a Silvia V2 for 10 years and on the 7th i had to replace one thermostat. My Elizabeth steams fine at 140c, but at 145c it seems the safety thermostat kicks in shortly after steaming starts and the temperature drops to 120c. Is this normal? It’s not a huge problem because 140c still provides enough pressure for me, but it would be nice to max it out for larger milk pitchers.

Well, I have realised my steam does not sit at 145c. If it set it to 145c, then it will soon after drop down to below 130c. So I suspect my machine has the same problem. I've just ordered the part recommended in this video (MC521 - SAFETY REARM THERMOSTAT -165 R/M) from my local Lelit supplier. I will report back to say if it fixes it.

I've installed the new MC521 thermostat this morning. It has not made any difference. If I set the steam boiler to 145c it will sit there at 145 for a while, then drop to ~130 for a while. It has not helped. Sigh. I have found 135c is the best option.

Actually I have noticed my second (bottom) thermostat looks different. It is not the resettable kind. When the machine cools down, I will try swapping that one out for the new thermostat, and reinstall the old one at the top position. I will report back.

Okay, so. I had another look. One of my thermostats was the standard 165c resettable, and the other was a 135c on/off thermostat! So I replaced the 135c with the 165c and now the problem appears to be fixed!

Steaming is really one of the weak points with this machine. Unfortunately that is not what you would expect when buying a dual-boiler. Without some tweaks it is not granted that the unit will deliver an on-demand and always ready steam supply. Apart from that it is still a pretty decent machine for the buck and gives a lot of parameters to play with.

@OhDearBabajan The prob is that from a dual-boiler you expect an always ready steam supply. Out of the box at least my unit is only reheating the steam boiler, if the temp falls below 125 degree celsius. All PID tuning did not fix it. So the point the machine is reheating the steam-boiler is too far away from the decent steam-boiler temperature. Leaving you with a too big window of not pleasing steam power.

Just joined Lelit would, just open the box and very happy with my machine, but Unfortunately the brewing pressure didn't not go up to 9 bar, only stay in 1 bar range. When I installe the blind basket, it goes normal to 9 bar. I have a problem with the brewing pressure. I checked my coffee grand size and tamping and do all the necessary to have good shot of coffee. It is still new machine out of the box, but brewing pressure is not good 😵‍💫? Any support please?

I use baratza sattee 270wi, with grind set of 11E, and used also 7D. 18g coffee, also use 14. Follow of brewing very fast and light with no pressure, some times get only 1 bar. What do you think?

@@TB-pv6ss 270 is not capable to grind espress based our experience. Try to set it at its most finer setting and see how it goes

I did, set the sette to the finest 1A, it becomes like powder ( Turkish coffee) still no pressure 😵‍💫😔. It is really strange. I checked the basket and rubber ring. I don't know what is the issue? Still buy coffee form a coffeeshop 😬 loooool. Any further inspection should I do?

Every country and even every district may have different kind of coffee. The only way is to measure yourself. If you do not have the equipment then please use softener provided. If you are looking for special water then the easiest way to but disstilled gallon water and mix with 3rd wave water product

Hi Stefanus, you didn't show how to change the steam valve in the video. Also, a small point, it would be a good idea to mark the thermostats before removing them so you can be sure to connect the correct wires when you replace them. I am about to look at an Elizabeth in France and expect to buy one so this was a very helpful video. I will make sure I check the temperatures when it's delivered. Mike

Hi Stef. Do you experience Elizabeth with broken/watery steam when steam temperature was set 135C or below? I used to steam milk at 130-135C but after around 2.5 months of unboxing a new Elizabeth V3, it can't steam milk at that temperature (milk starts to splash). Nozzles were not stuck and steam wand with cleaning liquid on bi-weekly basis. But if I change the steam temperature to 140-145C, it works fine. Brewing coffee & all others have no problem at all. Any thoughts?

Hi i don't quite understand what could be the problem here. Our main concern is when steam not strong enough, splashing normally means too strong or you are using too little milk in a small jug.

@@StefanusGoana Thanks for your prompt response. If I use 140-145C for steaming, nothing splash & becomes normal (splash happens only when I use below 130-135C for steaming milk). By the way, I steam around 200-250ml in a 500ml milk jug. Really a headache to me.

Hello, I have a Lelit Kate that I purchased used. It has performed very well so far, but for some time there has been an annoying problem. Usually, when I start brewing coffee, when the whole process is finished (i.e. when I finish it) I still hear a sound like the hot water supply pump running when I start this option. The situation repeats itself frequently and also in various other cases. Sometimes it stops by itself, and sometimes I have to turn off the coffee machine to stop the pump - there is no rule. I would like to deal with myself but I don't know exactly where to start. Please give me a hint on where to start.

Hi Pawel. In VIP Lines machine it has super high technology that way more than 50's line. There is a program to pump in water after few seconds and that is normal. Imagine you heat up water in a pan for along period of time slow but sure water in your pan will dissapear, therefore to avoid overheat and burning you need to pour more water. In our Lelit VIP lines, it had that technology to prevent our boiler from burning and over heat. Even while we are steaming hot water dissapear too even faster therefore machine will be triggered to pump water. I hope this is clear and wish yiu an enjoyable coffee making at home

Did you ever change your PID gains? If they're set incorrectly it could result in steady temperature errors like you're describing.

Need your advice I buy a Grinder DF 64 with Titanium burr online 6 weeks ago I think the name of the company was called Latte! Just like to know if is it version 3 or 4 because it seems that version 4 has problem with the de-camper? Do they have two campers who don't work? Did not use the grinder yet as I'm in the progress of Elisabeth from Kawa Coffee in Bali. Hop by now the problems you feature in your video is solved by now! If that problem is not solved by know than Kawa Coffee should be fix it.

Basically they make thousands of machine, each batch 50 pc, they will take 1 as a random check, if ok then the whole 50 goes out. If something wrong they will test 2nd machine as well and if fail again they will hold the whole batch, i hope this is clear as one or 2 machines may have defect that un detected which mainly due to defective spareparts

We found this on few machines, but i guess the important part is it is fixable and everyone should be able to understand its symptom and able to claim warranty. Trust me no machine in the world is PERFECT, find the one you can accept its limitation and make sure you're able to get good suppprt from your distributor and friends like in Lelit lovers Facebook group

So is it worth buying the Elizabeth if it seem to need update repair and I hear hot water tap tastes funning maybe because it comes from Steam boiler or maybe some residual being sucked back in the machine ?

Hi not all parts are faulty, as they were manufactured during covid some maybe faulty and here i'm teaching you to understand the symptom and how to fix it. About hot water glad you ask, Elizabeth produce perfect hot not like E61 model, as it combines fresh water and hot water in steam boiler. About the taste, i think some forgot to purge hot water out as they normally froth milk. All dual boiler machine we must also regulate fresh water into steam boiler to keep it healthy

@@StefanusGoana Thanks, not sure when I'll be able to buy the Elizabeth just bought a Brevelle Barista Pro a year ago and I know it will be a fight to up grade to Elizabeth even though I have the money, $1800 is a hard sell to wife plus around another $100 to go from 54mm to 58mm equipment, so might have to wait a while :/
