I actually didn't outwardly "wig out" I'm usually pretty good in situations like that. Remember the cop thing? 20 years? It's more when the adrenaline dumps after everything sorts itself out that I go "Holy F&^%$!" Blaine on the other hand - he knew what was wrong immediately. I think the guys in the small boats around us were a bit more worried! It was awesome to get some fresh salmon and I think we have one more fillet left and as for the crab - I don't personally eat Rock Crab as I'm a bit of a Dungeness Snob but Blaine, Izzie and Josh all enjoyed it when we got home.

@OnboardTangaroa Just giving you the razz Janis 😛 ya you kept calm I'd be shitting bricks too. Narrow passage way with shallows and something decides it wants to leave the chat for a moment. Nice to see there were some boaters asking you guys if you needed help. There are still some considerate people out there. A bow thruster would be a good addition to Tangaroa it would be a bit of an expensive addition. It sure would help with maneuverability. The stern extension that was added to Tangaroa many years ago. Its changed the handling chararistics to the way the boat was originally designed. You and Blaine have learned to pilot her over the years, Tangaroa isn't an ordinary boat. When I first watched your videos doing the repower. I was scratching my head why are the wheels and rudders were so far in from the stern of the boat 🤔 That's strange never seen that before. I bet Dollars to Donuts you have another skipper in the wheelhouse pilotting Tangaroa for the first time he or she would have troubles. You and Blaine know your ship you work together skippering her.

It's funny, I have never really considered Tangaroa to handle poorly or be hard to maneuver. Maybe I just have low standards 🤣. Janis and I do work well together. Years of doing so has definitely honed those skills. Blaine
