Is this true? Do you know if there are low tax incentives for people over 65 yo?
@PapasTTU Жыл бұрын
In Texas there's a 65 or older residence homestead exemption. HOA's can in fact increase their annual fee's. MUD taxes do add up, but they allow homes to be sold for cheaper. Also, MUD tax rates are cheaper than mortgage rates so it's cheaper over the life of the home.

Will the property tax double if the house doubles in value? In other states the property tax cannot increase more than 2-3% a year, but there is no such limit in Texas, something to consider before buying there. Part of the reason, is the extremely heavy traffic. Back prior to '10, a good friend of mine built a house on 10 acres of land in Conroe on Crockett-Martin Rd. At the time; very rural and wooded. But the last 5 years, the developers moved in; bought up land and clear cut to build master planned communities. The traffic along Crockett-Martin is an absolute nightmare; either stop and go; or when it is open, excessive speeding as people rush to beat any backups further down the road, or their destination. I'm from AZ; and I do like the city center of Conroe; but that traffic in the "rural area", is no longer "less traveled". Crime is not a concern; with that said, the mass murder of 5 occurred in the area last year.

36-40 percent is a bit much. Our family buy homes in Houston and renovate to resell or lease out. Sellers don’t give that much of a discount and we buy out right cash. The builders get paid full in cash no matter what. The bank holds your title and pays off your home 100 Percent and your monthly mortgage is to the bank. Interest rates is what is too crazy right now. Try to down as much as possible. Right now is about 7.5 percent. Buying a 250k home with 200k finance over 15 years. Your paying 15k extra a year x 15= 225k in interest by the time it’s paid off. Get more down payment and let interest rates go down.

They do not, these are the model homes, there may be an opportunity to buy the furnished models when the development is closer to completion

pls can someone explain to me why most houses intexas have ceiling fans. Are there no aircon, or is the light bill too high to run aircon? or do texas folks just prefer natural breeze?
@msls6592 Жыл бұрын
We have both the AC and ceiling fans on.

For those intrigued. Conroe is 40 mins north of Houston. Add traffic, construction, or an accident. You are looking at 1-2hrs oneway driving. Not for the faint of heart. Especially if you know anything about I-45. Nice house though.

Smh. It’s videos like this that are getting people to move over here. The Houston area is already crowded enough!! What used to be the nice country scene on the outskirts of Houston is now overcrowded suburbs EVERYWHERE.

What's the median income in that part of the country? I live in Soflo, and price to income here is wildly mismatched.

can you give me information on good builders? I was wanting to add on to my house about 2000 sqft. I called one builder and he said it would cost $350k, that is way too much money because I could buy a really nice house here in Conroe for that. I currently reside in OKC, OK. Thanks. Nice video by the way!

Hi! great video, very precise and informative, I have a question, we are a family that lives in Miami and we want to buy a house in Houston(first house, we are renting), those in your video are amazing, my question is about the downpayment, is it true that as we live in florida we must pay a 20% downpayment if we want to buy a house in Houston? we would like to buy now and relocated next year.
@Jay-ol1tl Жыл бұрын
You don't have to put 20%. If you put 20% down you can avoid having to pay for private mortgage insurance. At most you will pay 3.5% or 5% down depending on the lender, but you will have to pay for private mortgage insurance.

Well yeah because it's West LA. You're a realtor, why would you make such an obvious and absurd comment?
