excavations are underway in the Leningrad region (St. Petersburg). Officially, registered teams are engaged in excavations. but there are also many private individuals. as a rule, they cooperate with search teams and transfer the remains of soldiers to them for burial

The german soldiers were not buried by their comrades they were buried by Soviet soldiers after they searched bodies and took what they wanted. A german soldier would have buried them more neatly. The only thing I see the germans doing is removing the lower part of the token after their friends died. These germans were buried by soviet soldiers. R.I.P to them 🌹 how you know whats german from Soviet germans weren't allowed to carry glass incase they come under fire might cause injury soviet carred glass. Germans stainless steel. But germans did take yheing from soviet soldiers and so soviet soldiers from germans.
