@@mrknowhere6457 this is the problem of Hollywood doing the same thing over and over again: people end up having a certain standard so then when something new is done later they're not as open to it. The MCU Spiderman is taking the slow burn: having Parker gradually change from being a overly immature teen to the fully confident hero we all know and love. But because we've had TWO previous film versions of spiderman where they both became the Spiderman we all know by the end of their respective first films, now people aren't used to the slow burn, nor do they really want it. If Hollywood still wants to continue doing comic book films, we need to see some NEW adaptations of characters never given the spotlight before. I want some more stuff outside of marvel and DC, like The Boys, Invincible, Spawn (an actual good film adaptation), etc. We need more stuff like that. I personally wouldn't mind a film adaptation of the Variant comic character Shadow man.
