I was lucky enough to start racing cars 43 years ago with a guy that could build anything from nothing. The first car I helped build with him was done completely inside his shop. When we needed something, we did not have money to go buy it, we MADE it from junk. The car was very successful and won a lot of races both on Dirt and Asphalt. It always made me smile when others told us, "You Gotta have this or that", We never did and still out ran them. Keep doing what you are doing.

This is the best channel out here when it comes to we work with what we've got, maybe what our neighbors have, stuff that's been saved over the years. Chad you're the BEST when it comes to building and repairing things with whatever you've got on hand. I envy your mechanical inclination, ambition, drive and confidence to do shit. I'd give anything to have been born a different person. So much stuff I want to do to my truck, but it's either too expensive or no shop will touch it even if I did have the money. Just can't ever bring myself to get out there and do it. All I do is go to work, come home, sit in this recliner, watch TV, and go to sleep. Weekends are the same except I sleep until I'd normally get home from work.

Chad I have been busier than a one arm Paper hanger but I certainly enjoy everything you post. I enjoy it because my wife ask me once how did I ever be able to fix all the the I am able to fix. I told her it was out of necessity. I didn't grow up having everything given to me. I learned to fix things and repair things because someone else had usually discarded it or give it to me when they could figure it out... I learned a lot from trial and error or just plain experimenting. Don't let others cause you to change. I enjoy and learn something every time I watch your videos. Keep up the good work.

I would venture to guess that in 1940 safety was not the number one priority to the engineers that designed the car in the first place. No matter what one does there are always the know it alls. I've had people tell me how we Germans are supposed to be German....lol. I would never venture to do what you do. You can do it right or wrong if you wish to do so, I wouldn't know the difference. I like the channel because you are genuine person enjoying what you do, so keep doing it your way.
