I was going to mention that plastering up the window in the living room is only going to make it darker in there. At first, I wasn't sure whether you were going to extend the living room into the extension, as well, as you did the kitchen. I still think you could at least put a doorway there in the (near) future because it will not only cut down on steps into the extension from the living room, but it would also allow some light in from the doors you installed to the outside in the extension. Just my two pence. ;)

Use some of the broken tiles in the bottom of your plant pots when potting up new roses. Wall paper removal is the worst. I just hate it.

Get rid of toilet poop 💩 odor immediately, strike a match! Try it, it’s amazing how fast the odor disappears. I keep a box of matches in my various toilet and I carry a box in my pocket book in case if I need to strike a match when using toilet facilities outside of my home. I never have to smell someone else’s poop 💩 😇😂

Your house is improving on every visit and will be worth it,when you are sat there pouring your GnT. One thing we did buy was a wallpaper stream stripper. It soaks an area and lifts it off backing paper and all. One strips the other preparing the next bit we also used Nitromos? wallpaper and paint stripper also good but a little chemically. Well done on the tiles we removed ours and the plaster followed. Watching you has given me inspiration to start our next venture.

Wow!! All the reno projects are really progressing very well now - I can feel your excitement! One question regarding your powder bath on the 1st floor: You said you wanted it to look like a "Jewel Box" and the wallpaper sample you showed us is beautiful, but I didn't see any wiring for wall sconces to go on either side of the mirror above the sink... You definitely need some small delicate sconces to achieve the look you're going for. 🕯😘

It's exciting to see your renovation moving along. Just a thought and too late now I'm sure, do you need two downstairs loos? Could one be a pantry perhaps or a storage cupboard? I wonder have you begun to plan your garden?

Hi, yes the old downstairs toilet will be turned into a storage and boiler cupboard. We have a loose initial plan of garden design. Hopefully enough funds at the end to get started this year.
