Have you thought about Strange engineering rear coil overs part number #S5004. However you have to also buy G-Force Engineering 2004-2006 GTO & Holden VZ Rear Coilover Bracket Kit, Part #GTO10404A. I did this to my GTO and I’m about to install it on the other GTO I have. I’m able to fit a larger wheel without cutting or bending the fenders.

I’ve thought about it I should have done it when I did the rest but since everything in the rear is new now I’m gonna run it as is for now and see how it goes and go from there

@@bought2build gotcha, yeah, I did the same thing I bought new Pedders coil overs but I’m running a 19 inch wheel with 275 tires and it scrapes all the time. I tried to adjust as much as possible but I can’t seem to do it even if I cut it I think it’s still going to hit. so I just decided to get those coil overs. Only thing I hate about it is that you do you have to do some cutting and welding but I think it’s worth it. I have it on the other GTO I own and the ride is absolutely amazing. Hopefully you change your mind. One day. You can make a good video on it. That would be awesome. By the way your Gto project is coming along really great. What I love about your videos is that you show the process which helps a lot of us Gto people keep up the good work brother.

@@buddyrebel_Garcia thanks brotha I appreciate that! Yeah I try to show as much as I can sometimes it’s hard cuz I’ve gotta try balancing not making the videos so long that no one watches them ya know But yeah maybe at some point I’ll get them for this thing I’d like to do the fox body coil over setup in the front too so I can have either strange or menscer coil overs all around on my other car the hellcat I’ve got JRI coil overs all around and they ride pretty good and I like all the adjustability! Yeah rubbing is definitely an issue on these cars I run a 276/60R15 And had to cut/roll the fenders and some other little things but in this video my 275/50R15s are on it and those ones fit pretty easily no real issue I appreciate the support bro 🤟🤟🤟

I'm surprised you didn't cut off the 04 muffler hanger on the passenger rear cradle side cause it's close to the driveshaft. I cut mine off.
@bought2build Жыл бұрын
04 hanger? Weird cuz this one’s an 05 and my 06 had it too I cut it on the 06 but on this one I didn’t bother the driveshaft can go up and down right now with no issue if it starts going that far to the side we may have bigger issues ya know but yeah I’ll keep an eye on it if I have to I’ll cut it but when I made the exhaust for the car I made it use all the hangers 👍🤟🤟🤟

i just did poly along my driveline besides the driveshaft, i noticed when i shift theres slop and you can hear it too. My question is am i in the twilight zone or did they actually put rubber on each end and obviously the carrier bearing. that just sounds really dumb.
@bought2build12 күн бұрын
@@StelioKontos42069 lol no you are correct they use some type of rubber for those but is that the slop you are feeling is the question is it in the drive line or the shifter but thanks for checking out the channel I appreciate the support 🤟🤟🤟👍👍👍👍
@StelioKontos4206912 күн бұрын
@@bought2build if it was at the shifter what would be the problem the output shaft? i can hear the slop where the driveshaft goes on the diff when i shift and it travels up to the carrier bearing where i feel it in the shifter a bit. i have poly engine, transmission, and diff mount, curious what you think. appreciate the videos you've helped me on a number of gto things. carrier bearing rubber looked good too. weird stuff.
@bought2build12 күн бұрын
so sometimes switching over to Poly will make weird issues like this appear because everything els is tighter now and they have a bushing in the shifter that is known to get sloppy they make a brass replacement but that would just be a sloppy shifter feel what you are explaining sounds more like play in the drivetrain itself possibly normal mine has a little even with a 1 piece drive shaft but I would check the rubber joints and carrier bearing to be safe glad the channel can help I appreciate the support 🤟🤟🤟🤟🤟🤟👍👍👍👍👍

Supposed to be balanced from the company you can see little weights welded on but there is no good easy way to check if it is balanced sorry I didn’t see your comment sooner 🤟🤟🤟👍👍👍👍

Just ordered almost same driveshaft, magnum f only difference. How long did it take to arrive? Also, I’d like to hear your experience once you start driving it. I had a Hinson on my a4 and it was smooth. Same ds on my m6 swap and it was horrible. Seems like angles might be off on these cars.

I got mine from someone that ordered it and never used it broke his trans before it came in and ended up going 4l80e got it for 400 bucks which worked out well since this car will be going 4l80e at some point as well so I’ll end up re selling it and yeah I’ve heard of people having issues and then others that were fine I’ll have to see how it does once I get the car out again and go from there
