We had a blue chihuahua (who tend to be hairless) and he was. I told everyone that he had to have something hairy. So we named him Harry Blue. I love that he is hairless with the name Harry. I realize he was already named when y'all got him but it's purrrfect...😀

They're definitely not the type of cat I'd like to have either, but he's still got gorgeous eyes and he's such a snuggle bug, it's so sweet to see how he was hugging her. Ollie seems ok with having this new friend around, and Mary seems to already be head over heels for him, he's making her happy, and he'll surely grow on us all.

Harry is such a happy cat 😀 When they knead their feed like that, they’re very happy and content. Cats have scent glands under their chins. When they’re happy they will rub their chin against things to put their scent on it, like “this is miiiiiiiine , this is miiiiiiiiine”

Especially a hairless cat, in Europe they’re not even allowed to breed anymore in a lot of places because not having any hair especially their tactile hairs translates to the suffering of the cats. #adoptdontshop

Y’all are going to absolutely love being a cat parent! We have a dog and a cat & I can tell you it just really rounds out the family. My parents used to have a hairless can and oddly enough ours needed a sweater in the summer more than the winter because of the A.C.. We could tell he was cold because he would burrow under blankets and stay there rather than playing.

And yes, Harry is a love bug. Bear in mind - cats can have moods just like people. They can get up on the wrong side of the bed. If you stress, they stress. You'll be fine.

I have an almost 65 pound “Pit bull type dog” and this past Spring I got my 5 yr old son a kitten. They love each other. They play and run around together. My kitten is about 9 mo old now and still really small, about 7 lbs. The dog is very careful to not step on her. And believe me when I say, my kitten is the boss and she knows it 😆😆

I've owned cats my entire life, love them; even more than dogs. So independent, clever, and loving. I've adopted, and had purebreds. My mother grew up with both dogs/cats as she lived on a farm while growing up. I love dogs, having owned a St. Bernard, Toy Poodle, my wife's Teacup Yorkie Olivia I bought her on our second wedding anniversary. I still prefer cats, even if you have to scoop the poop. It's a labor of love for sure. I appalud you guys for entertaining a cat into your lives. I hope Harry brings you joy and plenty of happy memories to come! Cats bond with typically one person over another, but they love endlessly regardless. As of now, I've got an 11 year old Russian Blue, named Levn who I got at 14 weeks of age. I've had mixed breeds, a Scottish Fold named Boots, A flame point Himalayan named Blaze (parents cat). Both have since passed on. My Russian Blue hardly sheds, and is very loving/kind. He's a true "dog" in cat form. He doesn't necessarily like strangers, but warms up to people easily if introduced repeatedly.

WELCOME HOME HARRY!!! I don't care WHAT you two say.....youre already in love with with Harry! I smiled through this entire video. Harry is a GREAT cat! Wow, for him to be that comfortable that quickly, I don't think you have a thing to worry about. And with Ollie's demeanor, I see no problem whatsoever. Quick note; A LOT of people are allergic to to the dander that animals throw off. Cats are a bit different. A LOT of people are not allergic to the dander but to the dried saliva they shed after cleaning themselves. Being hairless, does Harry still groom himself? If so, Peter may just want to wash his hands BEFORE he goes anywhere near his face---eyes and nose especially. I am so happy for you.....the joy and happiness on Mary's face is priceless!

Ours was supper cuddly and its typical of the breed, they also are curious and outgoing. They are amazing cats and I'd love to have another but I can't afford a purebred anything and don't really support it. I've never seen one at a shelter but I'm always looking-

@@daisymae3717 you should never feel ashamed or badly about wanting a purebred cat or dog. the breeding programs are meticulous and preserve breeds to their best standard. backyard breeders like to pass off mutts/mixed breeds as designer purebred breeds and it gives actual certified and reputable breeders a bad name. i've got a hunting dog from a breeder, she is the best bird dog I've ever had and puts dinner on my table. i also have two rescue purebred Staby's, what a fun gem of a dog they are. thanks to breeding programs, the breed is making a comeback after almost dying out.

Awww!!!! Mary My heart melted seeing him love on you. I have a Siamese who looks like Harry but with hair. He is just like that. He snuggles me and literally hugs me. My cat has been the biggest blessing in my life. I rescued him from our Ex roommate that was not taking care of him. He immediately fell in love with me. I am his pet. But he knows exactly what is going on with me and he is so in tune with me that he can sense when I am going to have a seizure. I am so happy that you get to have this little blessing in your life. It is seriously the best thing. Also the kneading that he does yes means he is happy. I have heard the term Smurgling used for that. When they are almost in a trance like state while they do it. It is very comforting to them and they do it when they are really content. Also expect the cat to steal the blanket. I have several blankets that I got that I have had to one by one make them the cat blanket. They are placed all around my house. Enjoy the kitty!!! They are so fun!

Had to watch this one! Harry looks comfortable enough. My friend has one & he’s sweet. Though, his behavior changed a little when she was expecting. We’ve one kitty in the home, he was w/ us before the birth of my son. Our other dogs/kitties, etc. are housed outdoors. After watching this.... ❤️. Peter looks stoked!

Yeah, there are good arguments for keeping any cat indoors, but it's really the only option for hairless cats.

Awwwww looks like Harry is feeling right at home with you guys! He’s so affectionate and looks very content with the situation and both him and Ollie look like they’ll be snuggle buddies in no time! Hairless kitties can be very snuggly, partly because they’re naked and like warm places, and snuggling with their human is a warm place :)
