I would consider a 96-02Kia Sportage swap for the Mazda, the motor pretty much bolts right in and bolts up to the factory Mazda transmission or you can use a 6speed miata trans, there’s a lot of info online and a Facebook page I believe it’s called fe3/Mazda swap

Robert MacDonald yea I hear that, I’m on the fence about doing it, one day I want to then the next I’m like naw, I’m a paint and body guy so when it comes to motors and wiring I’m a little intimidated and don’t really know where to start so makes me not want to take on a big project like that? But we’ll see, everytime I drive mine it’s abit inconsistent on how it runs with the weber and not to much pretty gutless

If you do a stock floor body drop you won’t lose any headroom so that’s not an adequate excuse right Myles 😆
