I'm not sure if cleetus will ever see this but a couple of river recommendations from a Florida boater. Clean your windows with plexus and then ceramic coat with a kit from Amazon. Keep that water off your windshield. Install a metal D ring in the back and front of the cockpit. Paracord all items to brass clips and clip them on to the D ring. Lastly you can mount aftermarket utv waterproof wipers to the windows might help. Hope to see yall out on the water, I'm running the quintrex outboard race boat. I was just going to take Cleet to the woodshed, but you said it all. At the very least, all of you should be wearing beltline floaters to help the body float a little in case someone does get hit in the head. Also, this is not the first time you have had three people, they really need two handles installed on the back deck. Use 12" SS grab bars that are put in tubs and showers. Three mounting holes on each end, strong enough to catch an adult falling.

Nobody should sit on the back while doing 180's or 360's it's just asking for something bad to happen. And when you're running over trees at high speed a helmet and life jacket is a must. You and all your friends have everything going for you and too risk screwing it up by being careless like this would be tragic.

Love ya Cleet but I'm pulling out the safety hammer on this one. Water does two things to people. Keeps them alive through hydration and kills them through drowning and steam burns. You've already come close on the steam and now had the potential of drowning. If he was knocked out and sank in that murk before you got to him (especially in that swollen river) he would be dead. You would not have found him and if you were very lucky a dive team would have eventually found his body. PFD on all.
