Review: I started watching when you were messing around with the sleeper turbo Colorado, I liked the build, I was interested in seeing how it all went and it kept me engaged; the reason I clicked on it (I usually don’t click on videos that pop up on my Home Screen just because the algorithm put them there, I usually tell KZbin I’m not interested) was because the thumbnail gave me enough information and the subject matter was relatable. I like what you guys are doing and I think you’re a real good car show host which is half the battle, and I’m not one to nit-pick videos because I know how hard it is to put them together, but here is my review of where I think you could improve.. I think the corvette jeep has taken way too long, not very well thought out in terms of the progression of the build, and is very unappealing to the eye, especially in thumb nails. There is no angle of that thing that doesn’t look like a mess of hoses and wires and it does not photo very well, regardless of how well it works. I’m tired of following that project. The gumout truck rear end looks great but a before and after would have been a better thumbnail, at first glance of the thumbnail I didn’t even realize it was a fabrication video. You do great fabrication work and I follow a bunch of fabrication channels because that interests me, but I didn’t click on that video for the fabrication content I was just seeing what you were up to with that build because I already knew it was the gumout truck and I’m engaged with it at this point. The audio/video quality, host quality, and subject matter is not your problem, I think it comes down to your thumbnails. And as I already stated, I think the jeep is your albatross you need to get rid of and use the power plant and parts for something new and exciting.

The frustrating thing that happens to me a lot is not getting notified of a new video so i don't see it for a few days. Not just you but other channels as well. Right now I'm getting notifications for the election. I just saw this on my main feed. I think your videos are good content. The algorithm is challenging. I don't expect my channel to get big but i would have thought after two years of doing regular uploads i would have more subs. I'm at 280 right now. Keep pushing! Been watching for a few years. The content with Mena's civic, PFI, PFC and PSCA are what I enjoyed the most. The custom fabrication and v8 content is less inline with what I like. But, I still watch it to support the channel.

just a thought... you have numbers from different ""types" of videos. What about looking at the numbers in the categories... say fabricobbling, hydrodipping, drag strip, just goofing around. If you could do an excel sheet with those numbers, you might get some insight as to which types of vids you could focus on. I know I wouldn't mind seeing a few more hydrodipping videos, but that's just me...

I watch a lot of automotive KZbin and your channel is better or as good as any of them when it comes to entertainment, and production quality. The projects are cool and you make them exciting. I'm really not sure what you could do to get better(considering a limited budget of course). My initial advice would be to avoid clickbait titles or deceptive thumbnails. Those are usually the way a channel goes when they get desperate for attention, and I will actively tune a channel out if they start pulling that. As for content, It seems like one of the things I've noticed that seems to help draw eyeballs is cross promotion. Robby Layton shows up on Matt's Offroad Rescues. Fab Rats, Vice Grip Garage, Cletus McFarland... they all cross over. So it feels more like a community than just a guy in a garage. If you have friends with their own channels, doing some crossover vids for cross promotion might help you out, since you'd be sharing audience that way. Other than that, just keep doing what you do, as you enjoy doing it. Being authentically yourself is the most important.
