We are, and they are not taking responsibility either so we're just at a loss there.

Inconel coated? Do you know what inconel is? I don't see any flex joints or expansion joints in those pipes, they'll get way too hot with that heat shielding, they'll crack or the flanges will warp and leak but more than likely both.

Sorry I misspoke, the outer layer of mine is aluminum however the company that I'll send the manifold out to if I'm not satisfied with how mine performs uses inconel as the heat shielding materials. Many people use the heat shielding I'm using as that's what it's designed for per the manufacturer. There have been plenty of 3000gt/stealths that have went single turbo and almost none of them use a flex joint. In fact, the car that mine is modeled after -the one that appears on that racing channel- cracked 2 or 3 flex joints before just welding in a straight section and has been fine ever since then. I've built my car while he was building and testing his and I've payed attention to what works and what breaks on his. I had a flex section ready to weld in and set it aside when he went through them. A weld will crack on mine before any pipes will, at that point, I'll fix it.

@@bennplaisance That's why all the single turbo builds are broken, or soon to be broken or just catch fire and burn.

Cool, thanks for the insight. I'll be sure to ask your opinion on my car from now on. Guess I should be building a junkyard engine with only factory parts because aftermarket is garbage.

Serves you right for doing that to a poore 2JZ. :(

No idea what you're talking about. The only thing I did to the engine was take it out of my house, put it on the stand, then took it apart when I found it over painted.

Straight trash work. I hesitate all the time with local machine shops here as well. Machinist hates it when you tell them what you want but communication is key to getting shit done right. Mines still at the shop getting valve job, bronze guide, beehive springs and set for shimless. If it comes back wrong, dudes paying for it, I’m not even going to trip. If any shop can promise me they can do the work, it better come out right. Especially with cam card, valve specs and everything else the machinist needed to get the job done right.

Yea the guy I found this time is good, he asked me what I wanted all the clearances to be at and hand cleans everything. He pointed out all the other things the other machine shop didn't do right as well. My buddy just had his 2jz block there right before tx2k and he went into the 8s there on it
