Small thing about the Tsutentaku banner you translated, the reason it said "babbel star" is because tsutenkaku (the tower) in japanese means "Tower Reaching Heaven", the name itself so while it sort of has a correlation to the tower of babble, but overall the translation was wrong and is just the Japanese way to write tsutentaku. love your videos! cant wait for assasin creed shadow.

Shadow in Japanese is 影 (kage). It can also be used as a euphemism (albeit a bit of an archaic one) for shinobi (忍び - lit. 'one who sneaks'), considering they're meant to move in the _shadows,_ and all. Recall that the game was stated verbatim to focus on the shinobi fantasy when it was revealed for the first time at Ubisoft Forward 2022. It's also going to be set just during the climax Sengoku Period, and this is one of the time period when the shinobi were known to be most active in. It's also why Sekiro's subtitle is _Shadows Die Twice-_ because it's about a _shadow (shinobi)_ using his ability to resurrect.

I think Tsutenkaku in become Babel Star in 10:36 is only miss translation, it's because Tsutenkaku have name "Tower Reaching Heaven". From what i'm read it's 1873 five years after Restoration Meiji. So this my timeline : Templar wan't find Piece of Eden (let's call Babel of Eden/BoE) and spread Christianity in Japan but the can't because Edo Tokugawa Shogunate. So They support Restoration Meiji to enter japan, and they success. Near 1911-1912 they found BoE and try use it, some remaining hiden samurai know it and try to fight Templar but they don't know how powerfull Templar and BoE. So they meet the Assassin and use they help to fight templar. Short story they success and hide BoE in the first Tsutenkaku in 1912. And that BoE protected until 1943 when the Fire Tsutenkaku are in the fire. In the Future timeline, i belive that was kind of disaster will be happen. And to protected the Earth the Assassin need BoE. So they try found it and activated it in second Tsutenkaku to protect the earth.

I am wondering if the significance of Osaka and the time period covering both the rule of Oda Nobunaga and Toyotomi Hideyoshi will be important on Yasuke's arc to becoming an assassin himself. Another thing interesting about Osaka is that it's fairly close to a lot of historically and culturally significant places in Japan as part of the Kansai region: Kyoto, Nara, Kobe, etc. Given the huge scale of the RPG games' maps, I'd have to assume the entire Kansai region along with Chubu, Kanto, and Chugoku regions are in the game, which are all central and western parts of the big island of Honshu that were part of Japanese civilization. I'd be really surprised if Hokkaido was involved unless there's some Isu sites there or they really want to delve into the conflict between the Yamato Japanese and the indigenous Ainu population. I'm setting myself up for disappointment. I've lost all hope after the bummer that was Mirage. "Back to formula" my ass. I'm starting to think Ubisoft's aim is to hype up every new AC game with buzz words that'll get OG fans excited for a game that'll feel like the old gems only for it to be yet another copy-paste RPG zoomer fuck-up.

Ghost Of Tsushima. It's a masterpiece. It's the better looking game where the environment is highly detailed. Then there's that other game where he's grappling around with the UI. I think that's Rise Of The Ronin but I'm not sure. It looks like crap to be honest.

I also wouldn't read too much into the "Babel Star" thing. That's Google translation screwing up. That sign is just the kanji for the Tsutenkaku tower. The literal translation for Tsutenkaku is something akin to "Heaven-reaching Tower."

I know some chinese Japanese has a lot of loanwords from chinese, 家 like in the red banner can also mean family. keep in mind that these words were loaned a long time ago, but maybe it refers to the brotherhood as a family which is closer together than ever, where you attack a target together /in a group or that you play as multiple characters who are family, you play through their lineage? asin a 'hidden ones family', just an option

I have to say I feel we as a community have been waiting for this game since day one, now that the clock is finally ticking down I'm worried about it and don't want to get my hopes up. They've picked a hell of a time period to try and save the franchise with, I mean, I can't be the only one who is thinking this.
