Hi, Great Video! how long do you have wait for tickets during the day of papal audience?
@andrewmconrad

We applied for tickets 2 days before and picked them up the evening before from the Vatican. The morning of the lines are long-ish for everyone to go thru security. Seats are first come first serve

As bad as he is, there is a reason you referred to this as a “once in a lifetime opportunity” The pope has a direct lineage of consecration that goes all the way back to when Christ told Peter that he was the rock his church (the Catholic Church, and only the Catholic Church) would be built on. The desire to do all the things God wants us to do is written on the heart of every human being. You have that inscription and there’s no way to fulfill those duties other than to follow the laws of the One True Church.

A person should only follow the laws of God aka 10 commandments . Not the laws of men, or the catholic church revision of the ten commandments.

@@southernPacificRR well, I will give you that the word Catholic does not appear in the Bible, so I can understand your confusion. The word Catholic is essentially the Greek word for “universal”. By the way, sorry for the late response. Christ instituted sacraments during his earthly ministry. He himself was baptized by his cousin, John. Christ proclaimed everyone should be baptized “in the name of the father, the son, and the Holy Ghost” At the last supper, Christ proclaimed to the apostles to eat the flesh of the son of man and drink his blood. “My flesh is true food and my blood is drink indeed…take and eat; do this in memory of me” (Eucharist) At Pentecost, the apostles received the Holy Spirit, and Christ told them to go out and make disciples of all nations. Bishops (descendants of the apostles) confer this same spirit on the Confirmed at Confirmation. The apostles were later instructed to forgive sins. “Whatever you bind on earth shall be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven.” (Penance) The apostles brought out demons from the possessed and raised people from the dead, essentially the anointing of the sick, or Last Rites. This power was given to them by Christ directly. (Holy Orders, or ordination of clergy) Marriage is declared all throughout the Bible from Genesis forward to be about bringing children up to make more disciples to carry out God’s will (the Ten Commandments as you appropriately mentioned👍🏻) Protestants have been told since Luther that if it’s not written in the Bible, it’s not so, and that has permeated throughout Christianity and many Catholics are all too often influenced by that. What’s funny is that the author himself in the gospel of John, I believe ch 25 or 26, said that Jesus did and taught so many things that they couldn’t possibly all be written down. This essentially debunks the Protestant ethos of Sola Scriptura. The Catholic Church is the true church. If you call yourself Christian but proclaim to not be Catholic, you are participating in heresy, same as if you are any other religion; Judaism, Islam, Buddhism, etc There is only one way to heaven, and it is not easy for sure. Ask yourself this question: if all you have to do to get to heaven is believe, what’s to stop someone from sinning? The book of Revelation tells us that nothing imperfect gets to heaven. THIS IS WHY the sacrament of penance exists. To re-establish God’s grace in your soul by having it “loosed on earth” by a priest (a successor of the apostles). Very long post, I hope it’s helpful to you

Understood. I was mainly excited for the Institution of The Pope (similar to the institution of the Presidency, but not the actually President). I'll probably never see another Pope again in my lifetime.
