From someone’s who’s never done this before it would be smart to learn sign language so you can communicate in situations like this so you don’t have to worry about them hearing you whisper

ASL is pretty tough. We use some hand signals that we go over before we explore, but the military has them engrained in my head forever. Sometimes you have to whisper, though. Very situational.
