What’s messed up is that collectors are getting jobs at a store in their neighborhood that sells Hotwheels and they pull cars before they hit the floor. I had a nice honey hole Walmart I was getting good drops and along comes a buddy of mine to get a job in the toy section and not only buys every chase as he stocks but got me trespassed from a store I’d been going to for ten years because my honesty was making trouble for him. I’m about to sell my collection and call it quits. I know a lot of collectors and most of them are haters who talk behind your back and beg for a discount in the same five minutes. The good ones only collect the older cars who doesn’t care about packaging.

Guess the places are so desperate for workers they are including backroom raiding as a hiring perk. This person must do this often in different ways b/c the employee didn’t seem very phased. Have only bought 6 reg non chase HW at Dollar Tree this year plus some MBX, don’t see much I need there. The collectors that shop there/employees seem to be under the impression that the cars are some bargain there when really they are around the same price as competitors. Remember one of the employees checking out was saying it was such a bargain at $1.25 and they were $2 or 3 everywhere else. Where do they do all their shopping auto parts stores and CVS?

That is so sad of how that went down. For both you and her. #1 she can hold on to the boxes and not put everything out. You just can't go and grab anything in her cart. That's very disrespectful. You the customer have to be nice no matter what. I would have stopped recording and talked to her like an adult. However, ahe was rude for not listening to you as you explained that it was your first visit. She was in the wrong for calling the cops. You should have just left and came back later, instead of going through the pegs really fast. It made you look like a scalper and I know I don't want to look like a scalper and just a collector. In those scenarios, just leave and go back later. I am sorry you had to deal with that crazy woman.

Thanks for the video! At my local Dollar Tree the store manager pulls out the STH out of the box in the back before the cars are even stocked on the pegs. So there’s a 0% chance of ever finding one at my Dollar Tree.

Sometimes you just need to smooth out your approach. I used to have relations with a big ole girl that ran a Dollar General. She would tell me when she was going to put out the case and I always got first pick. Go back there and sweet talk her. She’s probably got a whole room full of high end stuff. Just make her feel like a queen every few weeks.

You know sometimes you have to look at this both ways. What if an employee collects hotwheels, does that make them a bad person. They like hotwheels like you. Now they should look at them on a break or backroom. Because at that point they're a customer too. But that lady was nasty, accused you of going in backroom. And calling the po po. I been watching a lot of people crying because they are not getting there toy they want. Be patient and you will find something awesome. And by watching your videos you do on a regular basis. Absolutely there is. As a collector it would be hard putting out cases and not wanting to take the ones I want which I feel like is a fair advantage for being a worker. But this example goes further back then just an employee not putting the stuff out it shows how hard and unpleasant collecting can be

I've been collecting for over 30 years I live in the Metro Detroit area not only do I compete with dozens of scalpers I have now learned that some scalpers are literally paying employees to hold cases for them I haven't found a super or even a regular treasure hunt for over 18 months it's absolutely infuriating

You didn't leave before the cops got there, so you got that ticket, you didn't assualt anyone, you where just asked to leave. The cops were called when you ignored her, and starting looking to buy, check your own video. When you waited for the staff to leave, was a bad idea, you could have got another ticket for stalking the employees, if anyone saw you, so they don't get your lisence plate numbers, they don't care, you left their property. You got me, on the spelling mistake. If you listened to the manager, you went in a area not for customers, that manager knew you were coming, because you called before hand like a crazy person. Your obsession with hot wheels, I get your passion, but was it worth it for less than $10 at dollar tree. Dollar tree has a complaints hotline, you could just report her to that, don't confront the store manager to her face about stealing the treasure cars. Of course she will ban you, if you expose and confront her to her face, in her own store. Learn the power game my fellow hot wheels collector, dollar tree would fire her, if she is stealing the treasure cars and shopping while working.
