We are a family of 6 living life in North Pole, Alaska! Where Santa Claus House is right down the street! We love spending time together as a family, having fun, learning through homeschooling, growing in our faith, and building our forever home! My kids are off at camp and I'm about to deep clean their room. They never want to part with their toys. There are toys in their room from when they were toddlers and now they are 8 and 11! I have been warning them for months that this day was coming so that they are not shocked when they come home from camp and discover their newly organized room. It's going to be amazing when it's finished!

Talk about complete opposites. Watching Bert in a T-shirt and Jessica lounging while looking at her lawn enjoying a lovely summer's day in North Pole. Whereas here in Townsville, Norh Queensland Australia, it's our winter (don't laugh now) the temperature topped out today at a cool 27°C or 80.6 °F. I said don't laugh. It was the first day this week without drizzling rain and we saw the sun. Mind last year we really didn't have a winter at all. The rest of the country is having it tough, like down south Melbourne it's currently 11°C, with an overnight of 6°C. Where we lived 18 years ago prior to moving, every night has had a low of 1°C with one night down to 0°C overnight. For our country it looks like we are in for a cold winter down south. It's hard to believe Audrey is 17, considering she could be married at 18 while you married at 19 Jessica. I got married at 18 (July 4th), ten days after my birthday and we have been married 53 year in ten days time. Mind an Italian contractor from Naples wanted to marry me aged 15. He even asked my parent's permission, btw they owned a business and we all worked together. Poor guy, my father told him it was never going to happen, considering I had no idea he was asking to marry me. We hadn't even been on a date, he and a work mate occasionally drove me into the city for my night classes at Business College. Looking at Naples today, I would never have survived in Naples, I doubt he would have survived me, I was always a tomboy. Australia with close to 26 mllion people today living along the coastline the rest of the country is so empty and vast inland, mainly only inhabited by Native Australians. Having no kids thanks to severe Endometriosis, we have had an exceptional life together. Knowing I would virtually be bed-bound in our retirement due to musculoskeletal issues, we lived our lives in reverse. Ticking everything off our bucket list long before retirement. There is honestly nothing we haven't done in those 53 years (nothing illegal that is), it's been wonderful. I seriously doubt either of you have considered Audrey getting married in the next year or two. We dated for nine months before getting engaged and married nine months later. Most of my family were positive it was a shotgun wedding even though I wore a white wedding dress complete a veil, my husband got married in his Military uniform and married in a church , boy! did they ever get that one wrong. Well I guess that's my once a year long comment to you guys.🤣🥰

A tip from a mom with several more kiddos, put the bars in the closet down lower for shorter kids so they aren’t breaking hangers and pulling on their clothes and can hang clothes back up. ❤
