I was hyped when this game was announced at E3 and bought happy few back when it was in alpha a little before the clockwork update. At the time the dev's didn't really know what they wanted the game to be and were split in three ideas. Sandbox, survival, and story. For me finding a way off the island and figuring out what was going on is what sold me on the game and I love compulsion's art style so much too (especially contrast). The game isn't perfect but if your even a little interested, do try it.

Feels like it let them focus on the narrative and gameplay once procedural generation was axed
@ayyyo23632 жыл бұрын
Subnautica came out first, and subnautica had a pretty straightforward development. This game went through a bit of development hell because it went from a randomly generated survival game (to many peoples criticism), to a story based game. If I remember right, they had to redo a lot of the game very quickly and it ended up being rushed. Subnautica below zero had a rocky development though, having multiple complete rewrites of the story.

The story is amazing, the fact that you can play as 3 characters in the "main stories" is really amazing, having different perspectives. The dlcs were also good, all 3 being unique, one having robot aliens, the other being a rockstar and the other is basically the aftermath of everyones story from the main game, the downfall, although the ending wasn't the best. If you ever playthe dlcs then please dont watch the 2nd dlcs trailer, since that basically spoils the entire dlc.

Sally is the worst, a femme fatale and even worse, gets the happiest ending. In Arthur’s version she says she slept with his dad because she liked him and thought his beard was adorable. In her version it was because he was generous and that he said he loved her. People say she’d of been kicked out the house if she refused, yet that didn’t stop her from running away and never coming back when Arthur caught them together. So clearly that wasn’t an issue for her. Then she acts like nothing happened when meeting Arthur after 14 years. She gave herself to Verloc in exchange for him teaching her everything he knew, which is stated by herself when telling a story to Gwen. She sleeps with the general, and just look at her quotes on her wiki, which has her say things like “lie back and think of England” “just lie down and enjoy it” when doing takedowns. Or “well that is a lot more satisfying than undermining the other girl’s confidence” when winning a fight. She’s not all bad, but she’s not as innocent as many believe she is.
