Welcome to the Blue Cactus Dairy Goat Ranch! We breed show quality Nigerian Dwarf Goats! We currently have a herd of 22 does and 4 bucks. Our herd is rotationally grazed on our 10 1/2 acre homestead in Arizona. We make cheese and soap from the milk we get and we also raise chickens for eggs and meat and keep a large garden year round!

Mixing all the milk together with all the different colostrum is probably a really good way to give them antibodies to anything the herd may have encountered. So many different antibodies.

We had Holstein and Jersey milk cows. We had 3 milk machines and anywhere between 25 - 35 milking at a time. My brother used to milk one or two to build up his forearms for baseball season. Keep up the videos and the exercise 🤗

Becky is doing awesome!! TLC is all them newbie goats need..:-) Lodi doesn’t give up she still tries to push through the fence. Hahaha and Val is learning the herd dynamics. Roxy and her crew are probably watching the rest and in time they all will be calm and tamed. Keep it up and they all will be tame to take to show and be milked in the future..:-) Love the baby time I totally was in love and jealous. But it put a smile on my face hahaha

My goodness I commend you for what you're doing. I 100% understand, support and know why you separate moms and babies. I just had my very first goat kidding this past Friday and I just can't imagine taking my girls babies from her. This was hers and my first go with babies and she is just the absolute best mom! I let her out everyday and let her graze in my yard (that started she decided she was just over the rest of her herd about 4 weeks pre kidding) and everyday she literally comes to my door screaming, with her babies in tow, and as soon as I walk out to them, she pushes her head on my leg for pets, gives her babies a good once over and walks away leaving me to babysit while she goes and has me time grazing 🤦🏻‍♀️🤣 I'm honored but also know exactly where I stand with her and that my only job is serve at the pleasure of Queen Penny 😏🤣🤷🏻‍♀️

Love you, your family & your goats. We live in Queensland, Australia & if it wasn’t so cold where you live we would of loved to move to your farm. (I am sure you wanted a 56yo & her 14yo daughter living with you). I am just unsure about taking babies away from mums as soon as they have them. I sort of understand it but still feel sad for the mums after all the effort of labour. The way you kiss & care for your goats is so beautiful. Thoroughly enjoy your videos. 😘😘🥳🥰

Becky..shows what paitence and LOVE can do. It takes time to gain trust.. She will learn ..kindness..you dont push her..you kinda let her think it through.. Its positive experiences..i think becky will someday come around..almost overnight shes gonna breathe a sigh of relief and chill out. You are awesome.. You can tell you would rather get results by being kind and paitent than force them ..where they do it because they WANT. To not have to. To actully take more time because it pays off in the long run to you. You dont just say i give up too much work..you say..ima gonba love the shit outta this goat..i bought her because i saw potential..as you said wasent handled alot..goat crack like horse sweet feed..shes going to figure out..all the other goats petted on get crack..mm ok ..well..damn..me TOO.
