Congrats on the new van; I live in Perth and use the same bank as yourselves. I'm currently having our Sprinter van repaired in Adelaide and every time I transfer money (even between my own accounts), I get the dreaded "Access Locked" notification. Once, stupidly, I mentioned to the bank that I mine crypto and am well aware of scams "out there" - this comment opened up a whole new world of pain.....
@rubikmonat65895 ай бұрын
Is that ANZ? They blocked mine when a $280 pair of shoes were ordered. Then they didn't notify me, because their only notification is to send a text, and I was out of phone range. The way I found out was at the supermarket checkout when I arrived back in range and couldnt buy food. I'm convinced they just mess around ramdomly with your account to show they are doing something. I cant even adjust the threshold for where their awful "security" starts paying attention. They also set up an offset account on the WRONG loan, NOT the loan number written on the form, so I had a big redundancy doing nothing for me. I demanded that interest refunded, they stonewalled me so I took my business elsewhere. They are hopeless.

Glad to see you got your purchase all sorted out, and curious to see the complications with RV traveling in Europe as a foreigner. I admit laughing about wrong side of the road driving on the last video. You're not the Lone Ranger LOL. As a US visitor to the UK, it took some concentration for the first hour or so, and almost entering a roundabout the wrong way, for it to become a bit more natural. On a motorcycle, no less. It was in the country with no traffic thank God. Then of course we took it to France the next day, then back to the UK a few days later to finish the tour LOL.

Just picking up your channel. So jealous. 2 of my best ever holidays were road trips in Europe over 2 and a half months. First one we leased a car from Citroen. Second one had my motorcycle shipped to the UK. Europe is a fantastic place for road tripping. So much geographical and cultural diversity. Extremely rewarding. As far as driving on the other side of the road is concerned, I agree most of it just comes naturally. Just beware, however, after your used to it and quite relaxed, you don't drive out of a service station on the wrong side of the road as muscle memory kicks in 😊.

The issues with money transfers seem to be the rule rather than the exception these days. My income goes into my UK bank but I live in Croatia. Every 3 months I use Wise to do a transfer from my UK bank to my Croatia bank. Both wise and the UK bank send security codes by text message but I live in a location with no phone signal. I have to go to a cafe that has wifi and a phone signal but still I always have at least 2 attempts before the transfer works.

Yes, I went from Perth to Thailand last year, for two weeks. While I was in Thailand, I couldn't get into 'one' of my email accounts! The reason: email security identified I was no longer in Australia, and I was therefore a scammer! Luckily, I had a few email accounts. With money, banks can be bone-headed difficult.
