Whenever a draft prospect has a higher overall than their potential they're usually a bad player. They come out with High C or Low B Overalls and then have C and D potential and regress quickly. Not worth scouting but could be a late round selection if you want someone who can play right out of the draft. Also, 18 or 19 year old *hitters* near the top of the draft board with exactly 5 better Vision than Discipline are Generational players.

For scouting, you want your first scout to be a high efficiency, high position player guy. Change it every week to scout different players individually. Your second slot should be a high efficiency, high pitcher guy. Scout by area for him for starters, typically international and central have the most/best. Your third scout should be a high 90+ discovery guy. Change position groups and location every week. Outfield, all 4 regions, infield, all 4 regions, then move to pitchers. Hope this helps a little more

Pasquantino in my Royals franchise was underwhelming. Batting .240-.275 with 20-25 home run seasons for 2024 and 2025 and then 2026, 84 overall Pasquatch hits .374 for 49 home runs and 160 rbis while missing the entire month of May.

I like the freedom in this series. you can play double a games and sim a while cuz there are so many games. where as falcons franchise is just you play a game and that’s the episode. i like seeing the whole organizational profile in this series.

royals fan here - the stadium thing is basically a clusterfuck rn and the royals aren’t being super transparent with their plans but the wife of the owner went on a (trashy) facebook rant saying they were done with jackson county (kcmo) after the vote to fund their stadium didn’t pass so they’re most likely going to johnson county (kansas), but the lease ends in 2030 so there’s not a massive need to build the new stadium asap

I'm going to make a bit of an assumption here, but a trashy FB rant is average white woman behavior. That said, who knows exactly what happens over the next half decade that could change the stadium situation. If the team gets good, that could be all they need to provide the money, like it did in Seattle.

Bates feels like he could be your version of Kyle Hendricks; he pitches to contact mainly, but is methodical and can usually keep the damage minimal

franchise last year wouldn't let you JUST build a new stadium for the team. You would have to also reset jerseys and pretty much create a brand new organization from scratch, with just the roster, so the stadium change isn't worth it if it's the same this year

You can change just the stadium you just couldn’t do it at the start. Once you pick your team and are actually in the menu just go to “stadium assignments” and you can change it to whatever you want

Played Melendez in high school and he probably hit one of the hardest and quickest home runs I’ve ever seen get out. Didn’t even take a step. Probably got close to 400.

You should turn on catcher suggestions so ur not subconsciously repeating pitches. You don’t always have to follow the suggestion aka shaking it off but just a suggestion

I would look at trading Salvador Perez for someone to play the outfield with speed around 70 with a good arm and some pop in the bat (example Carlson), and develop Velasques as your long term catcher. I think that will help your roster defensively and at the plate. Arm talent and defense can be overcome by speed in the outfield sometimes

Discovery is not worth the weeks that it costs to scout.. you can get 2 position player scouts and a pitcher scout and go through and scout the higher potential prospects and get the top guys almost all fully scouted. easier to find top prospects with A potential that way.

Prospect ratings at launch are always so annoying. So many prospects are known for having good bats but struggling on defense and SDS will put their contact and power ratings in the 30s and 40s but give them 75 fielding. Like is their “scouting” that bad? Or are they just blatantly admitting their rating system doesn’t matter and only overall does?

I feel like the show just doesn’t optimize that well for the minors. Maybe it’s me but I definitely notice it just puts up a lot more wonky results during minor league gameplay vs MLB.
