I still remember clearly seeing the Nintendo Power magazine introduction to the generic/parody of our beloved Ninja Turtles. I was already blown away by the overlooked masterpiece Snake Rattle and Roll was with it's isometric graphics and fun gameplay. Rare was able to use some of those ideas for it's beat em up game and it was brilliant. Of course it was a no brainer must rental over the weekend. I loved it! Got it for my birthday. Loved the Double Dragon collaboration game also. Still haven't played the newer Microsoft version that just doesn't look interesting and I don't want to pay money to be disappointed. But these action figures are really cool! Definitely a collectors item.

The originial battle toads is very fun to play but hard as hell to beat after the snake level. Had to wait until I got a jailbroken nintendo mini to beat it and its only because the mini had save points you could create.

I do believe that I heard Pimple was saved for wave 2. Guess a marketing tool. If they released all the toads at once, then some people might feel complete and not need the other figures. I've already had the toads for a while but I still watched coz they're awesome figures haha

I think we all believed it was a good idea, just executed poorly. The game started off strong then fell off once you got to the that underground speeder level. AVGN has a video of him beating it. I'd like to see a return of cowboys of moo mesa.
