..the BattleToads games are all interesting..all of them (except the arcade version, the PC reboot, and Rash"s appearance in Killer Instinct) play kinda wonky lol..if you approach it like a 80's style game, one that requires precision AND patience, you'll find the unpopular versions become a little more fun..now I gotta fire up the FightCade2 to play a few rounds of Fatal Fury Special (after I remember the code to unlock Ryo Sakazaki) since you gave it a mention 😊..can't help much with Metal Slug tho, still learning that franchise myself yet they have awesome sequels..great finds, indeed!! Hope y'all are having fun with your new finds and thanks for sharing the experience (ahhh, the good old days of used game shopping.....so long ago.....)

Streets of Rage 1/2,3 Streets of Rage 2 is a MUST PLAY for beat em ups..(PC Streets of rage Remake is one of the best beat em ups of All time even in 2024) Contra Hard corps is a solid run and gun title for the contra series.. Sonic the hedgehog 2/3 , earthworm Jim, TMNT Hyperstone Heist, Vectorman Gunstar Heroes is FIRE....id even go as far to say.. lightning in a bottle for Run and gun games , more like "treasure" in a bottle" ( Treasure being the company that made it )
