I’m glad you’re all safe. I grew up in the Central San Joaquin valley. I now live in Florida. We’ve been through 2 hurricanes in 10 years. My advice to you is to have a kit in your garage. You can call it an emergency kit, but ours is a hurricane kit. We have canned food, 5 gallon containers of water, non perishable food stuffs, batteries, flash lights, and go packs(backpacks) with 3 days change of clothes, and cash if we have to evacuate because of hurricane.

I live in Wilton(out in the country), 20 miles South of Sacramento, CA. We had an umbrella on the table on our deck and that crazy wind actually lifted that umbrella up and sent it like a torpedo into our yard. Thank goodness no one was out there. It also pushed over 2 very large, heavy chairs but not the chairs at our table which are much lighter! It was crazy but no where near what Southern Calif. had to deal with. You just never know. But it was sure crazy weather here!

Last year for Hurricane Ian we got some of the effects, we are in pa. We auction had to move a lot of stuff in and it rained hard for like 2 days. And July 2nd we got about 2 tornadoes. It is very very rare we get tornadoes. I was two hours away from home at dorny with my cousins. Thankfully some family was home. We got a warning and a watch and they kicked us out of the park and we darted across the highway to the ice cream shop waiting for someone to come pick us up. It was scary at first but we were all safe.

Jess... I saw your post about u are struggling with taking your pain meds. As a person with ADHD... Habit stacking works for me... Identify three things u do daily and set up ur meds to be taken before or after u do that thing. I have a medical condition that requires meds twice a day. I can't ever remember so I stopped trying to. I just keep my meds beside my toothbrush and take them before I brush my teeth morning and at night before bed.

Also if I am to take 14 pills in a week I make sure to only have 14 out so it's easier to identify if I have missed any or not 😅. Hang in there. You are doing well considering your pain but I been watching for years and I know you have a relatively high pain tolerance buuut please take it easy so as to not make it worse.

I live in socal and was right in the path of Hilary’s tropical storm. Honestly it started of just being SO HUMID, like the air was thick and hot, it was so moist that you could hardly see outside. And there was a lot of heavy rain, some heavy wind but only for a few hours I would say. Honestly was expecting it to be a lot worse with how the news was portraying it. But other places got the storm far far worse than us, so I’m grateful we didn’t get it as bad! Oh and I forgot to mention we had a damn EARTHQUAKE right in the middle of it all 😭

I'm sorry, you're in pain. I hope, you feel better. I had braces for 5-6 years, because my teeth was, like, really bad back then 😂. I got them off last month. July 16th. Well, the bottoms. The top teeth was ready to come in February, but the bottoms wasn't, so I got the bottoms off in July. I'm so glad Kaden is feeling better, and no one else feels sick.

lilia is a teenager, in my opinion older kids should always have their own space and i don’t think i would like it very much being a teenager in my own room one day and then the next my 7 year old sister is moving in. i appreciate that jess and chris we’re willing to spare their space so that their older kids didn’t have to share a space. she’s said it before in videos but the boys would have their own space if they didn’t insist on sharing a room. so i think it’s pretty fair, when you have kids you take sacrifices and this is just one of those sacrifices

I have to say while a slipped disk can be painful it's nothing compared to my constant pain in many parts of my body including it feeling like I'm being stabbed in my stomach over and over again. It's interesting seeing how different people cope with levels of pain. I have an extremely high pain tolerance but that comes from being ill since I was a little girl and the many complications and extra illnesses that come with their own form of pain. I sometimes wish that like Jess I had a low pain tolerance because it would mean I'm not terminally ill.
