We Have Come to Praise the Lord

Here's an invitation to celebration, with elements of visual humor, poignant insight, and eternal hope. The punchy bass line asks for a decent set of earbuds - my preference is a set of over-the-ear monitor headphones with 50mm drivers. Although it may sound "bigger" than it actually is, the instrumentation is one acoustic guitar, one electric guitar, and one bass. One reason for the spacious sound is that the acoustic is recorded via four discrete pickups: three piezo pickups spread out under the guitar's saddle go through two different chorus effects and then four channels of a mixer, which blends in a separate condenser microphone on a stand - five signal paths that are then blended into stereo. If anyone wants to play along (the basic chords are pretty simple, with lots of room for embellishment and runs), check back in a few days, as I plan to post this in a lyrics-and-chords version as well (no video clips).
