I'm really getting into Twinmotion. Used it for the first time on a small presentation, and it looked great! I didn't use Path Tracing as I was just getting familiar with the base tools and options for my first real time. Looking forward to getting more familiar with it and with Lumen now too.

Hi Jeff. Great video on Lumen. sorry I have a TM question which is not exactly related to topic of this video. and could not find the answer anywhere. when I drag a native Twinmotion object to the scene for example a table with chairs (a compound object) there is a parent child relationship to table and chairs which at first click I select the whole object and with second click I can select individual objects like chairs or plate on the table. and there is this parent child relationship with Sketchfab objects also. but when I want to create my own custom library I can not stablish this relationship between objects and when I want to move the whole compound object I should select main container from scene graph. can you help me on that. Thank you

Hello, could you teach me how to configure the scroll button of mouse to move on iPad when use Revit? It is the only thing that I have not been able to do. In your video where on your iPad you use your computer you can rotate the model of revit using the scroll of the mouse. I have looked for a way to do it and I have not been able to do it, when I press the scroll what it does is selecting instead of move, please help me, it's something I haven't been able to solve in a long time and I'm frustrated.

Hi! Great video but just wanted some clarification about Twin Motion 2023. I was searching online to see if there was any toggle for Light Mode in the UI, but could not find any. Is this an included feature in 2023? (Note - this was included in Twin Motion 2022). thanks

No clue... but I prefer all of my software in Dark mode... so... haven't looked at all! hehe!

By Light mode, I mean the GUI of Twin Motion being white, instead of dark grey. There was a white mode included in the 2022 version but could not find a setting for 2023. @@TheRevitKid

How do the updates with Twinmotion and revit work? Do you need them to officially drop through autodesk, or can you install the version through the unreal launcher and revit launches the latest version? Looking forward to using this new feature!

Right now this is a free trial “preview” but it will be in the official release in the unreal launcher soon… you can download the special preview version in the link below …

Great.. Twinmotion now is more competitive but I'd suggest to give a try to chaos vantage v2.1 which is working with Nvidia dlss3.5

I’m not saying one is better than the other … but getting a Revit model into the tool is also part of the process and TM is winning there ImHo

Hi Jeff. I think the battle for real time rendering (real time raytrace) is between D5 Render and Twinmotion now. Enscape is great tool for design but not for presentation. Lumion to me is outdated. Vray Still is best offline rendering software which it's usage in architecture becomes less and less. ps : really waiting for your live videos :)

Yeah, because the D5 company are paying Epic Games to use Unreal Engine as their primary rendering engine. So it’s understandable why it’s pricy.

Path Tracer is superior to Lumen quality speaking (Lumen, currently, can't yet render properly and accurately refractions, caustics as well as complex reflections). Lumen advantage, on the other hand, is real-time speed, but not necessarily with more photo-realism, and it makes for an amazing engine to render animations with a vast amount of geometry in a very short time and noise free. Your example unfortunately doesn't give justice to either Path Tracer or Lumen, as it's very poor in terms of lighting and materials. So it's difficult to appreciate the real potential of both engines.

Thanks for tuning in and for your clarifications. While I agree that Path Tracer is a higher quality final product, I don't agree that Lumen doesn't make real-time scenes seem more realistic.... Adding reflections and GI do, in fact, seem more realistic to 90% of people. I am also sorry you feel my examples didn't do the software justice... You're more than welcome to share examples of compare/contrasting scenes on your channel and I would be happy to link to them. 😜

@@TheRevitKid I don't know where you took that stats, as it's common knowledge in the professional TM 3d viz community that Lumen can't render refraction, complex reflections and caustics and even accurate lighting as well as path Tracer, there are countless examples and a book has just been published illustrating those Lumen limitations. I will do update my channel with related works soon with pertinent demonstrations, as the last update was made at the beginning of my career :). Thank you.

I wasn't disputing the facts of what Lumen does... I was disputing that statement that it doesn't make real-time scenes look more "realistic" than without Lumen... @@Kreative3DMedia
