Haven’t seen that Elka Dizzy for a long time! My aunt ( god have her soul) used to play Elka Concord 802 / 810 (sort of cross of a keyboard and a harmonica) , she had 2 “add on” units, this Dizzy reverb ( it has a real builtin spring-tank, she used to hit the unit for some extra noise..) , and a drum-synth also from Elka .. this stuff stem’s from the 1970’s i think .. Btw, love this episode, it has a bit of mysterie and a bit of new knowledge about old stuff 👍👍👍

The Comparate distortion sounds like a Corona Octava pedal from the nineties. The first mini pedal I saw. A very unusual pedal with a single knob that was only usable in the first half before the gating /delay/octave started delaying before the signal would come through a split second later like a delay.

I'm almost 100% sure it's from the Anderton book, I forget what it was actually called (Super Fuzz?), but my very first electronic DIY project back in college was building one from a PAIA kit in an old electrical junction box (with no bypass, because that's definitely an always-on effect) and I still recognize the sound even though I gave it away about 20 years ago.
