Always amazed how Turin is able to commentate his own games but then it occured to me, maybe he's one of those people who don't have an internal monologue.
@typhvam51072 жыл бұрын
How does that follow? you just externalize the internal monologue?
@brandonjordan45962 жыл бұрын
@@typhvam5107 Yeah, it's different for everyone but some people do not hear voices in their head. It may be easier to externalize thoughts on what to do in the game. Here's a quick video about it. kzbin.info/www/bejne/eoOvnHeXm7aVhpo
@typhvam51072 жыл бұрын
@@brandonjordan4596 I understand/know about this topic, what i dont understand is why you would think not having it would make it easier to externalize thoughts? You have inner speech, just say it out loud, this is generally shunned in society as "talking to yourself' but thats really just that, you just dont engage the sound-producing muscles. If you are playing a game you are thinking, just verbalise those thoughts. it takes practice, read out loud, or describe what you are doing as you are doing it, if anything id say having inner speech would make this easier, not harder.
@brandonjordan45962 жыл бұрын
@@typhvam5107 oh, just based on interviews I've seen where they will say they are likely to just say thoughts out loud since they have no internal voice. Like this interview: kzbin.info/www/bejne/q2ecioaeYsh5jrs But I am not one of these people so I really don't know. I just noticed the way Turin talks during his games is a lot like what my internal monologue would be saying. I would have a really difficult time saying it out loud because my internal monologue goes much faster than I normally speak. It could also just be practice but most streamers I watch don't give play-by-plays while playing themselves, they may interact with the audience and share some thoughts but he says everything he is thinking out loud or at least appears to.

5:15 I got rear-ended a few years ago, had neck pain, and ever since I get these weird headaches that radiate from the neck. I hope the same does not happen to you! It's brutal... Ibuprofen FTW.

Was that your first time being rear ended?
@Khono2 жыл бұрын
@@app369 First and only, yeah. I stopped at a red light. The guy behind me did not. Funnily enough my car suffered no damage, though his truck did. I suspect it's because I took my foot off the break right before impact, so less of the energy had to be absorbed by the structure of the vehicle. IMO the pain came because when I saw it about to happen, I braced and leaned forwards in my seat, so I slammed back into it.
