If there is even 1% or traces of greatfullness in a Muslim's heart and thinks the birth of Prophet Muhammed PBUH was a blessing of Allah for him/her...they would definitely be thankful and celebrating the Mawlid for the great gift of Allah's mercy "رَحْمَةً لِّلْعَالَمِينَ" upon the world....

The prophet didn't celebrate his birthday every year. Fasting is not making an ied of something. On the actual two legislated ieds it is forbidden to fast, subhaanAllah. So the prophet didn't make a special anually returning event of his birthday, nor didn't the Sahabah, not the tabi3oen, nor the four imaams. It was later on introduced by Fatimioen. Fast every Monday if you want to follow sunnah, make a special day every year if you want to follow desires and bid3ah

The actual date of the prophets birth صلى الله عليه وسلم isn't even a sure thing, the ulema are disagreed. So what are you going to take? Wouldn't Allaah preserve the date if it was good to take it as a annually event, like ashura, haj, ramadan, etc? What if the unnual date doesn't respond with a Monday? This happens more then the other way around. The prophet صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ mentioned Monday, isn't it?

Don't say that, only if you giving Salaam because then there is an angel that brings your Salaam to him. But otherwise, don't say it. It's close to invoking him, and that is major shirk, as is very obviously said in many aayaat and ahaadieth. Even though he was the absolute greatest man that lived on the planet صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ he is stil a creation, while the only one that answers invocations is The Creator. This is what the prophet صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ self said. So if you love him and you love Allaah, follow him. { قُلۡ إِن كُنتُمۡ تُحِبُّونَ ٱللَّهَ فَٱتَّبِعُونِي يُحۡبِبۡكُمُ ٱللَّهُ وَيَغۡفِرۡ لَكُمۡ ذُنُوبَكُمۡۚ وَٱللَّهُ غَفُورٞ رَّحِيمٞ } [سُورَةُ آلِ عِمۡرَانَ: ٣١] Muhsin Khan and Taqi-ud-Din al-Hilali: Say (O Muhammad SAW to mankind): "If you (really) love Allah then follow me (i.e. accept Islamic Monotheism, follow the Quran and the Sunnah), Allah will love you and forgive you of your sins. Allah says in Qur'an: I created everything in pair. Good and Evil. Bidah can be for the good and for the evil... Where do you see or feel that the birth of the Beloved is something depressing? If you cannot have joy in your heart while seeing others celebrate his coming then you should change faith because the birth of a being on earth is a blessing. If you want to be a stone in front of a birth then may Allah have mercy on your soul.

The prophet fasted on Monday and Thursday because than our deeds are presented before Allah. Also if fasting is celebrating than why celebrate every Monday and not just his birthday? What a nonsense is this. Is fasting not for any reason but for Allah? If celebrating his bday had any virtue our prophet would commanded us to do it. Our religion is complete don’t add other stuff into it.
