I run one. Had a HD14 and sold it for a HD11.5 and love it on the front of a case 521. Scrape better than anything else. The skids on the wings can be a pain to replace the wear edges if the wing gets tweaked at all, which will happen. I’d like to see them make a model that angles in the future. Best of both worlds

One plow combination that I've never seen you cover is a front mounted plow on a tractor (sometimes with a snowblower or boxblade on the back), locally a lot of large parking lots are cleared by that setup (possibly farmers running a plowing business in the winter which is a good plan actually). There is a KZbinr, DLH Farms (farming/excavation channel), that has videos up showing a few of those setups when the Excavation company gets called up by the DoT to clear the roads.

I just bought the hla snow wing. We are up in Alberta. Where it’s warm. Than minus 40. Than warm. We deal a lot with snow packed snow on asphault. I see all your videos are of pushing fresh snow right after a snow fall. We don’t have that luxury, so we are scraping extremely hard pack. Any videos and tips on that. Our cutting edges do not last long. But great videos.
@Dirtmonkey5 жыл бұрын
Thanks Dale and thanks for the video suggestion !

I forgot to mention I do love the snow wing. It is a bit heavy for our case 430 skidsteer. But we have been plowing for over 20 years. Lot of places we do we have to for then to call is to go. Which I hate because of how hard the snow pack gets. I have looked into the grader shark edges. But not sure if you can get them for the the hla blades. Would help with cutting but it would leave behind small trails.
@redclifford37235 жыл бұрын
Did you check out the hla edge flex? I think its worth the extra money, the scrape is great and your machine isn't taking 100% of the full impact. We've found that if we throw down a little bit of salt before a storm, it helps with our sites with bad hard pack(usually sites with high traffic). The snow doesn't bond to the pavement due to the salt(brine). Obviously this doesn't help if you don't use salt - Cheers!

Love the house, sorry about the hard wood scratch. My father in law just bought a log house in durango colorado for my fiance and I to put in proper condition. It was snowed in by two feet of snow which started me on your videos. Your retaining wall videos caught me off guard but started watching them and started realizing we have more problems than originally thought. We have questionable everything going on from surface water collection into a pond to retaining walls ready to fail, a spiral stair wrapped around a three foot diameter log that isn't finished running from a basement to a second story, roof failures leading to structural damage of header boards, basement finish work that wasn't permitted and may be questionable. The hard wood floors we currently have are toung and groove 2x4 basically and are the deck board and curious if there is a thickness minimum they can be sanded to? Watched your videos on that too, your a very knowledgeable polsky. The hitting the ice block damage!!!! I feel there could be a lot of helpful insite from a video dedicated to what you do with with each piece of equipment for snow and what is too much for a plow truck. Where you need the skid, where you need something heavier and when you need to start having dump trucks haul off snow. Lots differ but some may not have space. How large of a run to push per inch of snow, how much snow actually weighs in front of a passenger duty pickup. We had to clear our drive with two skids, way too much and too tight quarters for a plow truck. You could use some volume control in your videos too lol. When the music starts and its louder than you or vise versa it's hard to not wake up the wifey when watching your videos at crazy hours.

@@mattcuric9637 what's your thoughts on these arctic sectional pushers?
@mattcuric96375 жыл бұрын
Quik-N-Ez Concrete Creations there not bad there top of the line plow cost a lot less then a metal pless, and there is a lot less that can go wrong with these plows but in the same way you can’t do nearly as much as what you would with a metal pless, we haven’t had any major problems with metal pless, the worst that could happen is you blow a hydraulic line on your wing and you have to chain both wings up, so you pretty much have a straight box pusher for the rest of the storm, with all the same functions as a sectional snow pusher

TLB compare. We have a FORD 1986 TLB 5558 this last week took it out and warming it up to plow snow and sounded like it was missing note it sits in heated shop all winter to be ready at any time. took injector out on the coolest cylinder and took for testing thinking simple. Nope that was good took machine in here a Valve broke now looking at $5000 motor repair on a machine not worth that. so pulled the head and replaced valves yippie back up and running but a ticking time bomb. Looking for advice on brand to buy looking to get a slightly used machine like 1000 hours on it we do Tiling spring and Fall then move snow in the winter with it and other Farm duties here in southern MN.

Most amazing piece of equipment I have ever seen in action not personally used but my boss loves it I wouldn't consider ever using a standard box ever again the time and effort it takes to go next to a curb and the spring cleanup is amazing they make it so the boxes smaller so smaller machines can use it in attaches to a variations of everything almost and it's just it's even good enough to use for like if people are doing dirt material I mean you have to increase the frame little bit but it's just an amazing piece of material big fan love all of it keep it up just upstate New Yorker 20 minutes from the border
