I will have to watch that again because I don’t understand how he was sewing the zipper into the pocket. I must have missed something somewhere.

Oh, I think I just figured it out. The part that he’s sewing the zipper onto is just like a outside part of the pocket I think I need to go back to bed and or drink more coffee.

Zach: We make pockets like this all the time for in the lining of purses/ totes. IF You put the zipper in before you sewed the two pieces of fabric together, it would be easier. Also, if You put this pocket block in the quilt before the quilt top was sewn together, then the quilt put together, it would be a Fantastic surprise!

***Duh.. I think I answered my own question ** Wait a second… When you were sewing the zipper onto the pocket it seemed like you were sewing through all three layers of the pockets, so how in the world can you open the zipper and get into the pocket? I might have to watch it again.

I would likely install the zipper in the front piece of the pocket block before sewing it to anything. There are several ways to do this...just like quilting...
@dcwatashi Жыл бұрын
@@barbarah5742 I just found it odd. It seems like it would make more sense if it was outside fabric interfacing and backing so one piece, not pocket within a pocket.
