In japan when you're losing on match is common to say "let's make good memories here" to cheer each other up. And Inarizaki banner kinda say that "We came to win and by doing so gives your everyrthings and don't let yesterday be your burden". Also it's written in kansai ben, that have some distinct word than standard japanese. In short, instead of saying "we don't need the memories" it's more like say "we don't need the flipping memories" (subtle way to say f***ing memories". well, it wasn't really a "super receive" in the audience's eyes lol. But Hinata assessing the ball, the set, the hitter- these are all incredible changes he's undergone defensively. The word to define Hinata's relationship with Volleyball is "Reverence" he genuinely has a deep reverence for every single moment he gets to play volleyball. Every ball that goes up for him he sees as a sign of love and care, every second he gets to be on the court is like basking in the sun after 40 years of darkness and rain and, it's so pure that you can't help but to be inspired to treat the things in your life the same as he does. Honestly Hinata is the perfect protagonist in my opinion, he's not the greatest, he's not above sorrow and despair, he's not unshakable in his confidence but, his hunger for the game he loves is so pure that it's infectious and it's something that is so real that you can almost taste it. Everyone can have that same drive for what they love and, I don't think there could be anyone who doesn't appreciate a person like Hinata who is just sooo pure on the court.
@gamerhead0074 жыл бұрын
Couldn't agree more. Also, another word that describes him is in his name: "Hina" meaning sun/sunlight. He is not the little giant, king of the court, etc, he's the little spark, a ray of sunshine that was long missing in the Karasuno team. If Bokuto is the one that lifts everyone's spirits up, Hinata shines like a sun on the darkest of days. His whole ballboy arc was an example of this. Everyone respects him, not because he is the best, but because of his genuine love for volleyball.
@itzNeph4 жыл бұрын
@@gamerhead007 it's crazy because when I first started watching this back when we were like 10 episodes into the series, the thing I had to explain to people in just how amazing this series was, was just how honest, pure and, appreciative Hinata is just to have the opportunity to be on the court, to attack for any ball that comes to him. It makes you feel like you need to appreciate the little things in life so much more watching/reading this series.
@gamerhead0074 жыл бұрын
@@itzNeph Exactly. People want to see the journey of a hero and how he rises to the top. In Haikyuu it's not that. It doesn't matter if you're a top player or not, if you have the desire, commitment, will, and confidence, you can keep playing the sport you love. Hinata never declared that he wants to be the best player like most protagonists in other anime do, they want to be the best trainer/Hokage/hero or player. Hinata isn't like that. He wants to improve and get better so that he can play volleyball longer, and he does that because of his own satisfaction, confidence, and happiness. He's not improving to look cool to his friends or to prove a point to other coaches/players who discourage him, he only does that because he loves volleyball. This is the best thing I learned from Haikyuu: you don't need to be the best to keep doing something you love, you just need to be honest(and dedicated) about it. Yamaguchi summed it up in S2 when he said this to Tsukishima: "what else do you need besides your own pride!".

And Hinata being straighforward firing his teammates up - awesome. 3. The animation. The fact that they got it so right for this episode is part of why it is so damn impactful. I love your reactions!!!!!!! I feel like I’ve commented this before, but you have such a wonderful grasp of the characters motivations and growth, it makes me so happy to hear your thoughts on each episode. (And not just for Haikyuu, all your reactions are really insightful and show how much you enjoy and are invested in the story being told). I am always so excited to see a notification from your channel.

People love the big moments but they forget about all the hard work of exposition that it takes to go give context to those moments which makes them powerful.

I love how Hinata always manages to say something that makes the team relax and take some of the pressure off 😂😂

I say this every week but this is the best and my favorite episode. From screaming due to the tension and force inarizaki keeps on piling on karasuno to hinata's perfect receive. Damn. So thankful hinata's receive is given justice by the animation team. Also the way they used music to emphasize just how big of a moment that is to his character growth. Ang ganda talaga 😭

Really happy to see one of the best episodes coming out on my birthday! Hinata showing up how much he has grown and waiting to see what tanaka asked kageyama :o

I think that a big portion of the people not that satisfied with this season are actually manga readers (not all of them obviously). The author went all out for this match on paper and brought it in a level the anime just couldn’t portray back (even if, a big fault of this is COVID, we are all aware) but at the same time there are amazing shots and episodes like this, so overall it was a good season as always.
@marenoffrecord4 жыл бұрын
Yo, this is why i love watching your reactions. You cry when we cry, you get hype when we get hype. It means you’re invested as much as we are. Thank you. This moment, and the rest of this match, is one of the best moments in this series hands down. Can’t wait for you to see what will happen next.

wait how do people not like this season?? this is my favourite so far
@jppf21924 жыл бұрын
It only gets better from here XD hehe :D And plus have people noticed that Furudate flexing on his writing that both round 2 matches were mirror matches for Nekoma (vs Suruwaka Tech) and then Kurasuno with Inarizaki?

Hi, none of my friends watches haikyuu so it's pretty cool to see someone as hyped as me for every single episode!! Watching your videos it's like talking about the new episode with a friend and confront our reaction (while jumping from the chair) :)

14:55 UNDERRATED! This is basically what Haikyuu is. You see the journey of a little guy who just wants to play volleyball, which is the big guys game like basketball.
@ninadshah11874 жыл бұрын
What Osamu says is very similar to Hinata and Kageyama speaking to Yachi about why they wanna win. They just think that volleyball is as essential to them as eating food. When Osamu realizes this I cried... ❤❤

I got hit in the feels so hard when Hinata finally did a clean receive, he's been working so hard for that one moment, and although it might've seemed like a normal receive to others, it meant everything to him. I love this anime so goddamn much

When Tanaka received the serve this episode it went right back to the opponents side. Thats exactly why Nishinoya "took" that serve in episode 16. You let your liberos receive possible.

I’m trying to see them boys eat. This episode was so hype to me. Great reaction and I feel you Lax with not wanting to understand “fans” who just want to see a crazy point or a great block. I love that Haikyū builds up little moments that make the big moments that much more impactful. I know that their is going to be a moment at the end of this season that will have every fan on their feet and maybe balling their eyes out. I love that MHA does the same.
