WE JUST ADDED APPLE CARPLAY TO A MERCEDES' ML (Wireless CarPlay/Android Auto/USB)

Very nice. Catch with this though is that you have to select Aux for the sound -- does that mean you cannot interact with Siri if you're listening to the factory radio? If that is true, then my next question: does a CarPlay interface exist for the W166 that does have a radio built-in? (In my C-Class I have an aftermarket unit with CarPlay and built-in radio. Looking for something like that for the ML as well.)

Ok I've got a w166 same as in your video it's a 2015 ml350 with same screen as in video and it has the factory usb and another connector in arm rest , with out this box can I just get my android phone on screen using a cable ? My phone already connects Bluetooth so I can stream audio so far , what's your thoughts please ?

You can buy touchscreens for almost every mercedes version.

My ML350 has the MMC / AMI plug in the centre console for AUX sound. Would I need to run a cable to this for the Sound to work in CarPlay with this Unit or is it already connected directly to this unit?
