Any dealership that charges over MSRP should have their inventory deliveries frozen

As if ford and gm and others would risk making their top dealers mad, if only. Just shop around, i’ve never paid over MSRP, in fact on 6 of 7 new vehicles purchased since 2020 I’ve paid less than MSRP on all but 1. Average paid price of $2000 below MSRP.

It's not like dealers have been raking in money the past four years, most are barely surviving.

@@plmn93 A fun fact about markups, it’s only the guys that have to have the latest vehicles that pay them. I absolutely LOVE Red vehicles. My last pickup was a 11 Ranger XLT super cab 4WD. We bought it used with only 20K miles. It was Silver. (We Hate Silver, Grey, Charcoal Grey and Black), but we bought it for $6K less than book price. It was mainly used for work around our property. I wanted to break up the Silver, so I had it 2 toned in Red metallic from the lower belt line down. It also had Gloomy Grey and Death Black interior so I had it reupholstered in Red with black trim and stitching. Everyone complimented me on what a beautiful truck it was. I sold it right before I bought my 23 Tacoma TRD double cab, 6’ bed with Premium and Technology pkgs. The Ranger had custom wheels, A/T tires, a K&N intake, Flowmaster exhaust, a LineX spray in bed liner, tonneau cover, running boards and red pinstripes, rear air shocks. It booked out for $22K and I sold it for $28K. It had only 36K miles. It looked show room new. The very first week of ownership with my 23 Tacoma, I installed a K&N cold air intake, a FlowMaster FlowFX turn down exhaust system. It’s White and I’m saving up to have it 2 toned as well in Barcelona Red metallic that will follow the body lines of my Tacoma. I’m currently waiting for Katzkin to finish making TRD Red seat covers with Black trim and stitching. After Katzkin removes the factory Black Leather seat covers and installs the TRD Red, my buddy is buying the Black Leather for his 23 TRD that has Grey cloth interior. I wish that my truck would have been painted the Barcelona Red, but finding any Tacoma TRD Off Road double cab with a 6’ bed and the Premium and Technology pkgs are VERY hard to find. Furthermore I bought my 23 on 2/29/24. It was the dealerships owners truck with 6K miles. It booked for $51,848, but I bought it for $48K. I had been looking all over WA state and Idaho for the truck I wanted in Barcelona Red for almost a year, so I grabbed the one I bought. If I could have found one in Barcelona Red, I would have had it 2 toned in Tan metallic. By the time I’m finished with my White TRD, it too will be a 1 of a kind like my old Ranger. Thanks for letting this old duffer ramble. I Love your new Ranger. I’m sure that you will enjoy it very much. I hope it doesn’t break down as fast as your Blue 24 Tacoma did. Cheers !

From the Brighton Ford website it looks like they are one of those dealerships charging markups over MSRP for Ranger Raptors and Bronco Raptors. Glad you guys got the hookup but it would be worth calling them out on the fact that if you aren’t somehow connected they will stick it to you on the price. The way I look at it, they can make some extra scratch by selling these few vehicles over MSRP to folks with more money then brains but in doing so they are also tarnishing their image and reputation. It’s their shop and their rules, but I hope people will remember how they put extra profit ahead of reputation since that will probably come into play one day when a customer needs service. Are they going to go that extra mile for the customer or will they, as evidenced here, put all their effort into wringing out a few extra bucks?

I looked a few days ago, and in MD there were 2 of these at nearby dealers with $10k markups. Another dealer nearby had a black one at MSRP.

I half-agree, but I wonder if this isn't something like Stockholm Syndrome. We've basically been abused with these prices for long enough now that they finally became the "new normal". Ugh.

Man i hate those things with a passion. Relocatable prop rod is the greatest. You never ever have to worry aboht the hood falling on yohr head becsuse yohre not trusting a tiny seal to not give way bro and bumps to the back of the head kills people turns them into vegetables or they get back to lime 90% but have to learn to walk again or speak woth a elong mah nurolink bro. The prop rod when the car is 15 years old you go to sell it and it will still work. Honestly for this price through to me it should have gas shocks and prop rod for when they go bad you can just take them off. Weight reduction.

Great truck! Only thing i don't like is the vertical screen.. Also would be great with the 5.0 v8.

Are you a "Ford" only person or do you like any brand? The reason I ask is that John at LHT Performance put the V8 and 6-speed automatic transmission from a Silverado into a Colorado and gets 28-30 MPG.

Granger Ford in Iowa offers dealer invoice minus 2% to anyone willing to pick up a phone and drive to Iowa for pickup. I just bought by F350 Tremor there and had the best experience. They are high volume and can get anything you want. Send in your order sheet then pick it up when it arrives. Bypass the high markup dealers and bypass MSRP. Ask for Chip. They also deal in Dodge/jeep/Chrysler with the same deal invoice minus 2 percent. Never a markup, perfect customer service, no upselling no gimmicks

@@marklihsu You don't buy off the lot, They order whatever you want. Vehicles on the lot are a different story. Ask for Chip and he can walk you through it but basically you go to the Ford site and configure your vehicle. Send it to them and they will tell you exactly what their price is compared to MSRP and if you agree they place an order with Ford for you. I saved 8k off MSRP. Vehicles on the lot are handled separately.

Imagine what a aftermarket tune would do? In my 2.7 ecoboost F150 it changed the truck different animal completely! Ranger raptor is absolutely beautiful now if Ford would put the 7-speed manual in I would buy one tomorrow off the showroom floor!

Bedliner from the manufacturers are really not great quality. Very thin and scratch up easily. Better off going with deal or aftermarket sprayed liner

Pretty toy. Graphics and paint make it special. Of course, you pay through the nose for it. Cool that it has dual lockers! Sucks you have to activate it in an infotainment screen. Vs a lever. "Pepper" was reasonably priced. What I want to know is, with out Roman, who is going to cut the check for it? lol I guess this is the before we buy buying pre-quill video. IF I were a truck driver, this might be on my radar. Although, I do miss driving the 1st Gen. Raptor with the V8. That was a nice truck! Should see if my local Ford will sell me 1 for less than 50K lol.

Didn't get a power moonroof...like in my loaded ZR2 for $53k and no markup. The only major thing I don't have is the %500 Bose audio, but I DID make them throw in tinted windows, and that price includes clearbra protection on the front. I considered a Ranger Raptor but I figure with what I saved PLUS markup (hey, not everyone can be TFL, right?) I can put that towards the Can-Am 1000 Renegade I want.

GM has been using the KO3 on 2500/3500HD trucks starting in the 2024 model year on 20" wheels as an option. LT275/65R20, RPO code is QFG. Started showing up on trucks mid/late last year so Ford is not the first OEM to use them as a factory installed tire.

That engines probably a good bit heavier for not much more power. Also, twin turbo is going to give you a lot more lower end torque, which makes way more sense in a truck, just at the cost of complexity. If you want a crazy 0-60, don’t get a truck 😂

So what? A Lightning Lariat Extended does 0-60 in 3.8 seconds flat. If that's all you care about, get a Lightning or some other boring EV.

I like it. It's honestly a little tempting. I am surprised it's not a bit quicker (based on the testing I've seen so far). Those side markers also need to stop being amber immediately. Nothing lame like blacked-out, but maybe clear? Amber may be fine with different paint, but not "hot pepper" or whatever they call it.
