I adopted a senior cat. Lost him earlier this year, but he was my love, my baby. I only got five years with him, but he had been in the shelter for a year and a half before I adopted him. I'm glad he had a nice place to live, with love, cat treats and soft beds. My time with him was short, but I loved him with all my heart. Please please please consider senior animals when adopting. They have so much love to give still.

Ruby will be waiting for her family in heaven after her mommy and siblings pass away someday. At least Ruby was with her Mom and siblings in her final moments after two days. It's sad that she didn't make it through the night.

She didn't spend those 2 days on the ground under a shipping container...she was with her mama in a clean, safe, loving home. I've fostered quite a few cat litters, and, sadly not all the kittens made it. I had to take comfort in knowing that even though their whole lives were only a few days or a couple weeks, they were safe and loved for every second of that time.
