Peter and Joseph are joined by Cindy and Ben on their visit to Blarney Castle, were they wished to learn the history of the tale behind kissing the Blarney Stone. But there is a curse!
Blarney Castle (Irish: Caisleán na Blarnan) is a medieval stronghold in Blarney, near Cork, Ireland. Though earlier fortifications were built on the same spot, the current Castle was built by the MacCarthy of Muskerry dynasty, a cadet branch of the Kings of Desmond, and dates from 1446.
The Blarney Stone:
There are many versions of the origin of the stone, including a claim that it was the Lia Fáil - a numinous stone upon which Irish kings were crowned.

Neither Peter and I needed the gift of the Gab Tammy, I think kissing the Blarney Stone just reinforced it. 🤣 Loved the Bag Pipes and what a great welcoming. Classic to have a bagpipe with the castle . I was not previously aware there was a castle that went along with the stone. Nice risk management to have someone assist visitor to do the limbo to kiss the Blarney Stone. Not a place to vandalize or be cursed! Very impressive house or to me a castle. Thanks for the show.
