not to defend the police here but this nitro looks close enough to a jeep liberty to be fair enough as a suspect video. we are talking about a shooting here and we would hope they try to find the shooter .... also the majority of people will call any 4x4 or suv a "jeep" so if the suspect vehicle of a shooting is a black jeep with big rims then this nitro is 100% a suspect vehicle.

I have to disagree, with what we've seen police are willing to do, I'd be terrified if a family member of mine was doing that. When you see a family member walking on the edge of life or death, knowing the police have a monopoly on violence, it's completely rational to voice concerns. If you're wanting to stand up against them, which you absolutely should, you should do it away from your family, no child deserves to see someone beat their father senseless.

You either do it when they are being stepped on or you don't do it at all. Let the kids see it and let them see exactly how the so-called authority reacts. They will learn some very valuable lessons from watching someone stand up for their rights rather than watch their father lay down and be walked on so they learn to relinquish their rights at the first sign of conflict.
@Alexander_Grant
@Alexander_Grant 2 жыл бұрын
@@jakewarner1993 Completely disagree. When we've seen what police are willing to do, especially ones here that are already retaliating and a daughter that already understand how the so-called authority tends to react, there's no need to make your family watch you get beat or worse. He stood his ground well enough, they didn't search the vehicle even though they wanted to, so he stood up for his rights. It was far from him laying down and being walked on. Should he have been able to get in the vehicle, absolutely, were the cops wrong in not allowing him, absolutely, but there's no need to subject his daughter to having to watch psychopaths of the state with a monopoly of violence beat him. He frustrated the cops by asserting his rights and not allowing the search and his daughter didn't have to see violence committed against him. It doesn't make for as good of a KZbin clip when people don't take it as far as they can, so I understand the frustration there, but caring for your family's well-being isn't weakness or lying down at the first sign of conflict.

It's easy to watch a video of people you don't know or care about and say such things, but it's a different story when you're a kid trying to stop your father from getting harmed or killed. I'm a firm believer in your family coming first, so you want to stand up to cops when you're by yourself, all the power to you, but when you're with your family and you're up against cops who are obviously already retaliating and threatening violence, maybe it's best to let that go so your daughter doesn't have to watch you get beat senseless or worse.

@@Alexander_Grant So instead letting the daughter learn an important life lesson, just coddle her from the reality that the world is not always safe or even friendly. That way when she grows up she will be ill prepared for whatever life throws at her. Without 'trauma' you never learn what is truly important. If she would take the 'easy' way out and let a bully do what they want. What is going to happen when her BF REALLY wants 'IT'? Well, it would go 'easier' for her to just let it happen. The really important life lessons are sometimes very painful to learn. Putting them off only makes them hurt worse when you do finally learn them. Unless you never learn them and are stuck in a miserable situation because you never tried to advocate for yourself.

One person can run the show a lot easier and the complete silence from the spouse is always more potent then squawking like a bird. We have rehearsed many types of potential negative interactions with the police and more people need to rehearse until it becomes second nature. I'll never actively search out an interaction but I am 100% confident that IF I ever need to record I can handle myself calmly and verbally destroy any of these tyrants.
