Nice afternoon in the bay! Leo you should try using flouro carbon leader for end of your main line to tie hooks from instead if tieing directly to braid. Will definently up your fish catch for those line shy fish. Great video, enjoyed watching as always!

You can use a safety pin as an emergency rod eye. Cut off the pin housing and bend the loop 90 degrees and tape to rod tip🧷

Man I wish there were a gentler way to release these fish from the sea walls.
@extremephillyfishing5 жыл бұрын
Although there was one mishap in this video, all the other fishes were released just fine. A gentle throw won't kill any fish out there. As a matter of fact, anoxia is much more concerning than how these fish are thrown back.

Why don’t you throw big baits? Are u solely focusing on small fish? You know there are also different species in the large class right? Multi species are also multi sized; why not target the entire spectrum.

Just let him have his preferences, he's out here for fun, not to land a 8 foot goliath grouper.
@extremephillyfishing5 жыл бұрын
Like I mentioned at the beginning of this KZbin series, there were two main focuses as to this particular trip: (1) to catch new species for my lifelist (), and (2) to let me parents enjoy this trip. My mother is not really adept to using lures, so I bought live bait. My dad had a stroke last year, so he can't work lures well with one hand. Half of the time (or more), I spent baiting their hooks, getting their fishes off, and getting them out of snags. With the little remaining time that I had to fish and shoot the videos, OF COURSE I USED LIVE BAIT and WENT FOR WHATEVER BIT. LOL.
@cade25615 жыл бұрын
Because you can catch more species with a smaller hook
