That is because the boy scouts would not allow girls when they were started. So the girls had to do their own thing. Girl Scouts is girl led and thus the girls can focus on what they want. They can do survival skills or do community service.

I’m also a high school Girl Scout and perhaps it’s just my area but since there are less Girl Scouts in high school. People have told me multiple times that I look “too old” to be a Girl Scout. Selling cookies taught me a lot of important skills. I learned how to put myself out there, do mental math, and how to deal with annoying and rude people. I have so many funny stories from selling cookies, and they are some of the best memories I have with my mom.

Daisy Maiden as a Girl Scout it is honestly really weird that we have a brand that’s being sold by little girls. The worst part is that over the last couple years Girl Scouts has been selling the name to other companies to make ice cream and even easy bake oven versions to make money but the troops don’t get any profit. It’s kinda sketchy tbh.

Yes Sir Robert Bayden Powell's group is better than his wives as its more diverse but that's just me. I have been a scout for 8 years since I was 5. I was allowed join a year early as my mam was group leader. Oh I'm Irish.

I'm a scout in Australia and it's the same here. We have scouts that have boys and girls, and we have girl guides for only girls.

i was a scout from first grade to tenth grade, and then when i came out as a trans guy, i dropped out. i learned so much from scouts and i loved it so much. ten years of girl scouts taught me people skills, confidence, friendship, money counting, and so much more. i strongly encourage signing up for girl scouts!

When I was in Girl Scouts, all we did was go to my friends house and play tag... We sold cookies once at a Walmart at we sold out of thin mints first. I don’t know why I remember that..

I’ve been a Girl Scouts since I was 4 years old going to Girl Scout Camp and now I’m a Girl Scouts for life and been in GS for 15 years now. And now I’m a leader for the Camp and teach Girl canoe safety for girls just like I learned.

They should do this again, but with Freddie and Chantelle. That would be an awesome thing to see. Calm and collected Freddie vs sweet and reserved Chantelle. Like can you see that battle it would be so cool. OMG now I want them to do it.

Not only are a large number of Girl Scouts not cute little girls, the organization doesn’t exist to sell cookies. Selling more cookies doesn’t make they’re successful; empowering girls and helping the community does. Selling cookies is just a way to fund their actual goal.
@soph.g.t.5 жыл бұрын
Cookie sales are legit. I’ve been a Girl Scout for almost nine years and during cookie season I sell for over sixty hours a week for six weeks. I sell about 2000 boxes by the end of sales. (I live in a very small town in the Willamette Valley in Oregon.)
