I grew up in the Army and can completely understand when you say that you are not on a time table. There where many times when we never knew how long we would stay put in one area. I lived in Germany when I was around 13 years old, and my parents made a point to travel around Europe every weekend. I think that this will be a great experience for your kids. If I was able, I would want to do the same thing for my 2 teenage daughters. While in Germany stop in the town of Vilseck. It is a wonderful small town, and the other towns in the area are amazing. I know that the best trip I went on while living overseas was to Prague. There is so much history and wonderful things to experience there. Good luck, and I will keep watching your journey.

I'm going to Europe in January for at least six months all by myself I think there is a point that the fear just disappear and the excitement appears. I hope that the day before I depart I can be as calm as you guys are. Sorry we missed the chance to meet you in person. My wife and I have been in New York City for the last week. We too have turned into perpetual travelers. We retired and hit the road. SO excited for you!! I would go back to France in a heartbeat!! There is SO much to see, so much history!! I would check out the Bayeux Tapestry...the Loire valley, Angiers, Amboise...the Cluny museum in Paris is awesome, tiny, a former monastery...The Beaches of WWII might be overwhelming for the kids, but nevertheless great history...God Speed to you and can't wait for the travelvlogs...travelogs?

Some parts of the UK are places you must see! From the Lake District to historic little towns. I've noticed you and some of the kids wear The Beatles tops, and Liverpool is a perfect place for your family to explore! All the best to you and your family.

One tip with being in Europe (more specifically France) keep an eye out for pick pockets. When I went on a school tour a girls Canon Camera got pick pocketed through a security machine on our way up the Eiffel Tower. BE VERY CAREFUL but more importantly enjoy!

I've watched since you moved into the RV and you all have been such an inspiration for me. I am currently a med school student and I love to travel. Though it has slowed down, I still make it a priority, having a large family of adopted children has also been something I've yearned for. I didn't believe that they could both be part of my future but you've showed me how it is more then possible. The fact that you are excelling at having a large family of adopted children who are home schooled and traveling the world is amazing. Thank you for continuing to share your story. You will learn the languages of each country as you go. Most of Europe has bilingual signage everywhere! Easy enough to learn the basics, however you probably should learn some simple phrases that will get you to or from wherever you need to be. 💗

Wishing you all the very best. This is so EXCITING for you guys! On a mundane Sept morning in 2016 I had a spiritual epiphany about something similar, and phoned my husband who was OS at the time. Long story short, our family too leaves Australia to travel the world on a family gap year for 12 months but with the intention of continuing this as a lifestyle. We leave in 2 months and it was like you read my mind re: comments on how epic this is. Hubby and I often and spontaneously vocalise, "I cannot believe we at doing this! It feels surreal". Perhaps our paths will cross, the world is after all a very small place. As for Europe, enjoy, it is beyond words in beauty, steeped in culture and history...words are inadequate. Anyway, I could waffle on all day long when it comes to travel, it literally is education for life and mortar for the best memories. :) Cheers from Australia :)

You guys are great, I'm so excited to watch your travels! I'm 22 and I've moved to three countries by myself. From New Zealand, I first went to the USA for a year as an exchange student in high school, and now I'm doing my masters degree in Europe. I spent a semester in Portugal and I'm half way through a year in Germany. It's definitely a lifestyle and I totally agree that living in different places can be it's own form of settling down!

Safe travels Knorp family on the next leg of your life's journey! My late husband & I did something similar with our 3 children when we moved from northern NY to New Zealand back in the late 90s. We ended up spending 4 wonderful years in NZ soaking in the Maori traditions & learning about how the rich Europeans influenced the country's colorful history. You guys are amazing! I live with my sister and her husband with 3 of my own kids and they have 6 foster children. It is truly amazing!! I was a foster child myself and I grew out of the system with my sister and recently connected after 16 plus year with our younger brother and sister!! But either way you all are amazing and brace because traveling with 9 kids is no joke and with our bunch we have 6 under the age of 6 so I feel your worry.
