Hi Amy, Wes, Rufus and Dupes. The Thames is looking amazing. Great opening to the Vlog. I always love seeing Rufus and Dupes sitting together on the stern. Glad you avoided the mini Regatta rowers. I love all those posh houses on the banks of the Thames, and how lovely they look in the great "British" Sunshine. Loving your chatter during the cruise, and I was very impressed that you turned the boat around (to moor up on the bank) facing the flow of the river, which of course is the correct thing to do, and as you said, it gives you a lot more control of the boat. I love it when they sit out there too 🥰 not sure if you saw on our socials but we made a post just to say you might not be seeing doops as much in the upcoming vlogs, as he has recently stopped wanting to be picked up and coming out of his house. We suspect it may be due to pain from arthritis, but getting it checked at a vet. Dont worry, he's doing okay, just not as active as usual so wont appear as much. Hey you two. Congrats 🎉 on the escape from the K & A. We are in Essex and it would be great to meet you after seeing you moored in the arm on the Llangollen. If you make it to Limehouse Basin you must do the Bow Back Rivers and the Olympic Park waterways. Bookable in advance. St Pancras Boating Club are the authority on London cruising especially tideway but I have an inclining you are doing one of their flotilla events. Canal Museum worth a look and you might be able to moor there for a fee. Trevor & Julie

Have you guys ever considered looking at Starlink at all. In the UK it think it's £460.00 for the equipment and then the roaming package (internet anywhere) is £95.00 per month and because you basically work from home that would be Tax deductabubble. Just a thought. Mind you on The Thames I doubt you'll have any internet issues.

They aren't needed on this stretch of the Thames, only the tidal sections. 😊

@@BoatTime I find the whole river thing so confusing. I’m guessing the anchor part is also just for the tidal bit too?

@@spencehh yeah 😊 there are certain sections of the Thames that are very low flow, not tidal and not dangerous. The down stream you go, closer to the ocean the sections get tidal and that’s when you need an anchor and life vests etc 😊 There’s usually a tidal barrier or lock to section it off so the calm bit stays calm. It’s like that on a lot of the rivers we go on in the boats! 😊 hope that helped
